yes 10000000000000000% - so weird.

Nope right there with you! Mine isn’t from a lonely standpoint but nervous anxiety. I always think something bad will happen (e.g. car crash). I’m making him get life insurance to alleviate the anxiety. I wish I wasn’t like this :(

like

Oh gosh that sounds so hard. We do have life insurance - highly recommend - I just prefer to be “with” him, even if we’re are in the same house but doing totally different things on different floors. It feels like a separation anxiety of sorts - I’m happier when he’s near. It’s so strange! I never would’ve imagined this two years ago.

like

Yes!! We spent so much time together during the pandemic that I joke he has probably heard every thought that has crossed my mind over the last two years. Now when I go out I have to bottle up all of my thoughts until I get back home 😂 But seriously, yes I feel strange when I leave him, even for a few hours. I, too, have always been very independent. It is so odd.

like

Completely agree, I’m so happy to be feeling this instead of the opposite. As a strong independent woman, it’s still a bit weird though…. And not 100% comfortable with the feelings. Just miss him so much when he’s away for a night or two!

Fiancé went on a two day business trip and I cried when I dropped him off at the airport 😂😂😂 you’re not alone. Worth noting I am not a clingy person… I like when we each do our thing, spend time with respective friends, etc. I simply miss him more now when we are not together.

like

Mine is about to go on a business trip. I used to be the one who traveled and we were both fine. But now I’m dreading it after two years of always being together! Thanks for helping me feel it’s not just me

like

30 years married, think I am feeling the opposite 😂😅

funnylike

I feel this. I’ve even thought about making up a business trip just to get away. After traveling weekly for 15+ years, it has been challenging to be together 7 days/nights! Had he also been WFH I’m sure I’d be on one of the “killing shows” by now.

funny

I think we’re primed to expect the worst after a traumatic nearly two years, and naturally that anxiety concentrates around our nearest/dearest The other day we went somewhere and I almost left my keys on the counter. Thought: we’re leaving together and coming back together, why would I need my keys? Invasive followup thought: Well, if we get T-boned on the driver’s side and the paramedics have to cut his trousers off and I forget to say the housekeys are in there, then I’ll be TRAPPED, alone, crying in the cold!

likefunny

Yes!! We also spent most of the pandemic living in a studio apartment, so were quite literally ALWAYS together. Now we are in a bigger space and I find myself searching for him in the house for no reason… I’ve never been clingy before so it’s foreign to have this underlying urge to just be around all the time

like

Yes! We moved and doubled our square footage… now we will frequently wander over just to say hi or even text or call each other from the same house. 😆🤦🏻‍♀️ it’s silly.

like

Absolutely. Spent most of the pandemic together in one room and honestly loved all the time we had together. Saying “how was your day” still feels weird to me - I used to know all the details from being there the whole time.

10000%% fiancé but yes feelings THANKS for posting!! Why do you think this is??

like

I lived by myself for 7 years before spending most of the pandemic in a studio apt with him. We moved into a 2BD in Aug and now he’s starting up near weekly business trips, which each time I dread. I feel like a little kid!!

like

I’m like a puppy with separation anxiety from my husband. We both travelled so much pre-Covid that it was very weird at first being at home together sooo much, I was actually kinda worried that we would start bickering (we didn’t). Now I just miss him even when he goes out golfing or I just hate the house being quiet.

How much of a salary bump to ask for after a promotion from ACD to CD? For context, I’m an ACD making $170k in NYC with 8-9 years experience. This is my first ACD gig. My boss keeps saying things about how I’ll get a CD gig elsewhere in the next year or two and start making $250k, but that he’ll try to keep me here. So would it be safe for me to ask for $250k to become a CD at my current gig? I don’t expect them to match it exactly, but get close.
