Anyone else feel that they put everything into their job and than get shafted into a corner because of lacking of training but not lack of positive attitude or skills that lead you to the job. They refuse to see experience but then why hire you in the first place?

Just realized a firm partner has a pattern of treating female employees poorly. Except for the associate who brings in the big money, of course. But it's a trend, and the only reason he doesn't take it as far with me as he does with others is because I do EVERYTHING and he is screwed if I just up and leave. If you've experienced this, how did you deal with it? And yes I am trying to leave, the job market here is a little tough right now.

Is strategy consulting (even MBB) losing it's charm nowadays with the world moving more towards implementation projects and better opportunities available outside which have good pay as well as better WLB?

Something like what happened with IB roles which were all the rage in B Schools few years back but now have tapered off a lot.

After a long and extensive interview process (2 months & 12 rounds of interviews) I finally heard back that they are very interested in offering me the job. My Current base is $135k (in NJ) and my ask is $180K (in NYC). But base comp ceiling for the position grade is $165k and they are willing to offer one time payment to make up for the gap between the offer & the ask. Any thoughts? The role has very upward potential in next couple of years.

What are other comp elements I can negotiate? Thx!

Really struggling with stress from too many meetings or clashes all day. I’m a strategist. Are there any PM‘s or accounts people here who can offer intel? Each time I block out chunks of time for headspace, it gets ignored. Why does this happen? Do accounts people not realise that strats/ creative need time to actually do the work? I just had an interview for the position of a Product Marketing Coordinator for a skincare company and the company seems to have really liked me. When discussing salary I saw in their job listing the range was from $50-55,000 a year - I wanted to get some opinions as to whether this is a good salary for this sort of position, keeping in mind I have a 1-2 years of experience.
