Incredibly grateful to be working and grateful to the firm for helping us work through this. I have so many family members who just filed for unemployment, and the restaurant business is being completely gutted by the day....and that is just one industry.

PwC3 - Thank you. I do appreciate that and happy to hear your family is close by and everyone is looking out for one another. We are stronger together. Please stay safe.
So grateful for public accounting. For EY and specifically our great leaders who have not stopped communicating with us daily in one way or another. Thank you !!
Oh and thank gd for Microsoft Teams

Yes very grateful for working at BDO Raleigh and for amazing co family there. Stay safe everyone.
Don’t be too confident. Everyone will take a bite of this sh.. sandwich
Definitely yes. Glad we’re considered essential! Think about all those that are forced to shut down!
Definitely. For starters, my bf still has to go to the office. His employer makes them come in in turns, for half a day. The entire office can work remotely. Social distancing at its best 🙄 EY handled this situation so much better.
Very grateful for being employed. Yes, if it's BAD, b4 WILL also lay their people off... But I feel safer than I would have been in the industry.

I’m not sure about that KPMG 2. Granted I’m not in New York but the messaging has been pretty clear that all EY offices are closed, and there are very small and very limited skeleton crews on place with extra safeguards for essential on-site business, but the way it was conveyed is this is a very, very small population of EY employees.
Can anyone in the NY offices confirm?
Yep.
Do you not think PA is impacted by their customers experiencing an economic downturn?
Agreed idk why we think we are sheltered. Firms will not pay for extra for a while. Consulting will be hit the hardest, but as companies fold eventually itll affect all areas of pa.
Already reading about furloughs in other industries. Even hearing from those in the know about furloughs coming outside the service and travel industries. Definitely grateful to be in PA.
But to stay on topic.. I am grateful to be working still. Hopefully things will get back normal soon.
