Citi - SVP Salary Expectations for Tech / Controls
Looking at some SVP roles for technology / controls in the Southwest region. Glassdoor indicates $185-240k as range base comp, and target of $185-205k for average base. Is that accurate?
Glassdoor also targets $40k for variable comp. average. Is that accurate?

Yes! I’m also an introvert so not having to say no to frequent social activities is a huge burden lifted. I feel guilty for not wanting lockdown to end 👀

Same.
I like the change in pace but sounds like you have to rethink your career. Sounds more like you don’t like your job period.
I love what I do but the travel wears you down after a few decades of doing it.

Sounds like you don't like being in society in general

Yaaassss! Loving the simple life. So much more meritocratic at work given that is more about the value you bring and less about the politics now. Zoom squares being the great equalizer that they are. Loving spending time with family and dog, cooking simple meals and finding joy in the little things like a flower blooming in my garden, or muffins baking in the oven, instead of the constant materialism, FOMO and rush rush rat race that existed before. Lost 7 lbs just sleeping normally and eating at home, not including any additional ones that came from working out more regularly given I have more time now.
Loving this life. 😍
Yes! Great job on the weight loss! I’ve also lost a couple of pant sizes. I love the change because it has brought so much back to so many empty places in life. I’m happy to hear that I’m not the only one
I miss traveling. I miss client interaction. I miss the differentiation between work and home.
I DO NOT miss the overly frequent and optional (but mandatory) team happy hours and dinners. At least now, I know I can eat healthy and get to the gym every day without being ridiculed for not wanting to be an overweight alcoholic.
I can’t take anyone seriously who does happy hour shaming but I get how you feel about the differentiations. Not sure if you have the option but creating an isolated workspace from “normal” has been helpful for the transition

Nah. I like airports and I’m 10 states away from seeing all 50 and was gonna use alt travel this fall to finish it.
I assume it works if you have a solid position in the firm. As for someone who joined a year ago, not being able to make casual connections in the office feels like a disadvantage. Especially now when there are not many projects going on. I can't make much sense of the situation.
Nonsense K1. The current infrastructure of the global economy was built over cold calls. True there’s value in face to face but you can form love with a person without ever having to meet them
Not really. Seems like you don’t like traveling and there are plenty of jobs out there that don’t require it
Even if I did could you blame me? You’re among a few people who have commented trying to explain how I feel lol. I appreciate the offer of representation but I’ll represent myself. Traveling is tiresome
