I am from Philippines and our designation level is usually like assoc consultant, consultant, sr consul then manager. No ‘lead consultant’. Why is that so? Capgemini

Left Toronto for New York - mind blowing number of opportunities here compared to home. But I do miss my family, Toronto lifestyle and the homey feeling of Canada. Sometimes I want to come back.

Why don’t you exit to south of the border then?
Quality of life is a priority to me. Not all of us live to work, and chase the $.

I have coworkers at AMZN in Seattle who look just like regular down home, blue collar, mid western guys who just have liberal arts degrees from no name schools that are pulling in upwards of $600k USD ($790k CDN) as L7 site leads. Literally hundreds of people I pass through the halls of AMZN are multi millionaires and they look borderline homeless. America is the land of opportunity.
