Anyone else get new watch anxiety? Made my first big purchase and having finally got it on my wrist I keep thinking if I should’ve spent the money or deserve it?? I’ve wanted it for so long and now that I have it…I keep doubting it! This is the first big thing I’ve really bought for myself ever. I could afford it, just don’t know why I feel this way

In my experience this feeling will go away after a week or so. Just remember buying or not buying it won’t impact your life in a tangible way. You bought it because you liked it, so just enjoy wearing and looking at it!

Yeah I bought a super expensive watch that was out of my price range and felt anxious for weeks after.

There’s always a smarter investment, there’s always a better use of your money but sometimes you just gotta live a little and enjoy your hobbies.

like

If I wear it, it’s fine and I grow to love and appreciate it. If I’m scared of it and I try to “keep it nice” and it lives in a safe, then it’s a constant source of anxiety.

The key is to wear what you buy, and only buy what you’ll wear.

Oh, and don’t buy 20 watches like me...

uplifting

I too get shock after large purchases, I think it’s completely normal. No one deserves and expensive watch, but rather they want one and have the $ to pay for it. We work so we can buy things, and as long as your bills are still paid enjoy it.

Alternatively, it’s already on your wrist so it’s a done deal. Either way, no sense in worrying.

Happened when I purchased my first watch. But that was the first and last time I had that feeling.

Yes, got my first big boy watch yesterday and feel exactly the same way!

Bueller?

I’ve been looking at some beginner coding boot camps and scrum product owner certs, but interested in what you all have done to further advance your career

El Primero savants, what do you think of this one? I like that it has the vintage style chrono seconds hand and the general retro handset and font. and I love that it uses the 400 movement which has the yellow gears which just looks so much better to me than the 3600. But it’s online only so no AD discount, and not sure it’s worth the premium over the new Original line. I think I also prefer having the grey sub dials, although I love the story behind this one. What are your thoughts?
