So do we think they got Kim Jong Dos lined up?
I decided to let my pupper take over for today..

If the election were today, how would you vote?
How do you sound more polished in interviews?
I’m getting emails and Facebook posts from my daughter’s daycare of fun activities to do at home while they’re shutdown. It’s like, I PAY YOU GUYS TO DO THIS SO I CAN WORK. Now I’m watching my kid full time, working full time, and still paying you.
Governor Baker ordered daycares to remain closed through at least May 4, and with my wife working at the VA Hospital, I’m 1:1 with a toddler. I might break.
K1, I discussed this in-depth on an earlier post a week ago, but the bottom line is that 1. The parent handbook considers this an “unexpected closure,” 2. Tuition is charged for unexpected closures out of the hands of the daycare, 3. the demand for daycare in Greater Boston far outpaces the supply, and 4. Suppliers of daycare services want to continue paying the teachers so they’ll have staff when this is all said and done. They can only do that by collecting tuition, and parents are afraid to stop paying because we might lose our spots when they reopen.
It’s a real cluster all around.
Yeah, god forbid I have a job that will pay me to work during this crisis, unlike all these other people who lost their jobs...
I use sarcasm as a release. I am also worried about getting laid off.
Yeah. Its like they think we're waltzing around in our huge a$$ houses 🙄
Yeah I feel a weird sense of FOMO for lockdown downtime and boredom. I haven’t had an extra second to do anything I wouldn’t otherwise be doing. That said, am I grateful for my job? Of course. Would rather have it this way than be unemployed and anxious and learning how to knit. But, you know, still some FOMO.
Ditto! I am having to juggle calls, individual work, and kiddo care throughout the day, then working a lot more at night to catch up.
That's what I was paying daycare for! 😂 I believe in Adam Smith's specialization theory. 😄
My friends that are struggling and cant do anything about it need this as a distraction. I'm grateful to have a job right now (additional bonus, pretty chill too)
No, I’m getting paid
A little bit, but it's more than outweighed by the comfort of knowing my bills are still paid. I've actually charged 55+ last week and this.
