Let's table this discussion so we can do a deep dive analysis on the due diligence performed on the work product to identify all low hanging fruit which is most impactful leadership and then circle back/touch base with the project team who has the bandwidth to implement changes which will take the work product to the next level in order to provide the most value-add and move the needle.

Yup, nailed it. You sound just like my boss. 😫

"let's cascade this out" "I'll put out some feelers on this one" "let's run it up the flagpole" "let's be all over this" "that looks like it's going to grow legs" "I know the graph says that but are we really saying that"

Another one I hated initially but now use to torment others - "drinking from the fire hose"

I don't know about investment banking, but "stet" in editing means to leave an edit alone - revert to undo a proposed edit. So in your field does it mean to leave something alone?

Last year, My girlfriend was making 80k while I was making 200k so I took her out to dinners and took care of the groceries etc. Basically made sure it’s an equitable relationship. She got a new job this year and is now making 210k (more than me) but still expects me to pay for all the dinners and groceries. I’ve already talked to her about this but just resulted in argument. Is there any coming back from this situation to make this equitable relationship or is break up the only option here?
