Anyone else hate banking lingo and make fun of it, but as soon as a discussion starts you say "we dont want to boil the ocean here". Fml. Whats your most despised finance phrase?

Let's table this discussion so we can do a deep dive analysis on the due diligence performed on the work product to identify all low hanging fruit which is most impactful leadership and then circle back/touch base with the project team who has the bandwidth to implement changes which will take the work product to the next level in order to provide the most value-add and move the needle.

YES. During my first month in finance, I thought this meant “advanced.” Like if you got to a high level in a video game or something.

If a recruiter asks me if I’ve spoken to another recruiter at the company, is it okay if I lie and say no? Or should I just be honest and say yes? I’ve heard of instances where candidates have been ghosted if they say they’ve been in contact with another recruiter. In my case, the recruiter I was in contact with messaged me on LinkedIn and never followed up after our 5 minute phone conversation. I really want this job so I don’t want to mess anything up before getting an interview.

does anyone feel that the exercise culture in consulting can be toxic? I’m all for exercise, but I feel like the consultants I know overdo it or spend $$$ to go to fancy exercise classes.

I have an AA in Business Admin, Economics, Social & Behavioral Science. Just got an offer for a Sr. AWS DevOps role at 145K, I will be working remotely 100% with maybe 5% travel, if any. No bonus with this company. I have over 8 years of DevOps and AWS, all AWS certs . Should I be asking for more $? Thoughts on the offer and how much more $ I should be asking for ? Current location is kinda irrelevant since I will be working remotely.
