Acupuncture has helped my anxiety tremendously. I’m starting to work on the physical now as well and recommend it 🙏🏼

To add: I also see a psychotherapist. I don’t just use holistic medicine and wouldnt recommend that. I do recommend it as a supplement though.

The mind and body are very much one. If the mind is unwell, it’ll be reflected somewhere in your body. Meditation 🧘🏻‍♀️ helps me. Also trauma therapy has helped me tremendously.

Silly question… how do I know if it’s Braxton Hicks or just kicks (and does it matter)? I’m feeling this strange tightening/pressure in the middle on either side of my belly. Baby kicks are usually more in my groin/pelvis area and feel different, but baby has been super active the last 24 hours.

Sat down today and self-reflected. Life took its course, people around me have moved on (got married, settled down, moved to a different place, bought their own place, traveled to places they dreamt about) while I'm still grinding at work that I don't see myself 10 years from now, still single, getting old, still dreaming about traveling without needing to work and just be free and "me". I don't know what I want in life...

Hey 👋 I’m new here and I was wondering if anyone had any advice about dealing with the financial burdens of therapy. I wasn’t finding anyone in network in my area who would be a good for for me so I’ve been seeing someone out of network and going for insurance reembursment but I’m still paying about $100 per session and at 25 it’s financially stressful for me. Is there such thing as supplemental insurance to help cover therapy costs?

I’m so incredibly burnt out—I’ve been going to sleep at 3 am and waking up at 7. I’m working 16 hour days consistently, and on Friday through Saturday I literally pulled an all nighter (until 11 am) to work. I don’t have time to make friends, let alone hang out with them, and all of my partner’s free time lately has been helping me stay afloat. I told myself I wouldn’t quit before busy season ends in March and put my team in a bad spot, but I honestly don’t know if I can make it to then.

I’ve suffered from workaholism for a long time. Thanks to a lot of great self help books and therapy, I’m no longer putting work on a pedestal and I’m spending a lot more time on self care and my marriage. But, unfortunately, I am now getting withdrawals, because my body is used to the daily adrenaline of throwing myself into work. It’s this terrible feeling of like anguish/unease in my gut, but I don’t have anything I’m worried about- it’s like my body wants to find something to worry about.
