Anyone else have a psycho traveler for a baby? We are always those parents in the airport or airplane whose baby is upset / crying / screaming. We try everything but the issue is usually around

Anybody know any good books/sources on couples finance or balancing financial mentalities? I have a personal finance mentality or character that is save as much as possible, spend as little on myself as possible, spend mainly on things that could appreciate in value. Whereas my gf is all about treating oneself, and living very comfortably, even if it is not sustainable. It doesn't help as well that I make 3-4x what she makes. Its hard to balance these two mentalities

👋🏻 New mom here. I’m seeing a lot of comments about parents opting for “no sleepover” rules. Is this because of Covid, or is this a new thing? I went to sleepovers all the time as a kid and just wondering what reasons beyond a case-by-case basis would be to have this rule? Not judging, just genuinely curious.

Parenting question..my kid loves golf and swings his club daily after school. When his friend comes over, the friend tends to hit our house with golf balls. After being reprimanded a couple of times, the friend hit the house again and dented siding (again). I texted the mom asking to tell her kid not to hit golf balls at my house. It was a tactful message. Her response was..a. their house has many dents and she replaced her siding 3 times, and b. it was not on purpose. How would you respond back

What is a useful, comprehensive but not too long of a book for parenting toddlers?

LO is 16 months old, very sweet and social, at the park every day with other kids with either me or her nanny. Not in day care. Yesterday we had a play date and she slapped another baby on the head. Not hard and did not scare her, but the act of “aggression” took me by surprise and I felt terrible about it. I’d like to be more proactive about toddler psychology, what’s to come and how to react/ teach. TY!

Moms, what is your opinion on goat milk formula? I am hearing conflicting things. My baby’s pediatrician did not recommend it, because these formulas are new and not enough studies have been done on them (as opposed to Similac and Enfamil which have been around forever). But I’m also hearing from some people that it’s closer to breast milk and easier to digest for babies. Have any of you done any research on this and have a perspective to share? Many thanks!

I know everyone is different, how long did it take you to fall pregnant with your first? We have just started trying but I’m already stressed at the possibility of hiding a pregnancy at friends and family gatherings, taking an international trip in April, and the ‘perfect’ time to be pregnant/due (I know there’s no perfect time!). My boyfriend wants kids. The only kids I want are the ones with fur and 4 legs. What are the typical exits for post MBA strategy consultants (think tier 2 e.g., Parthenon, LEK)? Do they typically get a pay cut? I currently earn 90k base but have been getting recruiter calls for 70-80k (all insisting that salary will be lower outside consulting)

I am going to move in the next few month to a location with a higher cost of living due to personal circumstances. I love my current company but I’ve only been here a little over a month, how should I go about requesting if it’s possible to get a salary increase? How do contractions really feel? FTM and I’m starting to feel a little pain in the lower part of my belly. Given I usually have a high tolerance for pain(after a ton of sports injuries) not sure what is true labor/contraction pain. Trying to avoid a car baby or a lobby baby😅

P.S: I don’t have a lot of pain during my period (which is what my mum keeps saying it’ll feel like). So unfortunately that reference hasn’t helped! Any advice helps!!
