Hi everyone! India is really struggling with covid currently. “In India’s devastating second wave of coronavirus infections, patients and their families are on their own, fighting to save their loved ones in an overwhelmed system where ambulances, hospital beds, oxygen, medicine and even cremation grounds are in short supply.” Please spread the word and donate if you can. https://givebutter.com/sewa

Tea and honey, and you MUST gargle with salted water at least 2-3 times a day, that’s what truly helped. I also avoided speaking on calls, I was basically out of commission for 5ish days bc that’s when I couldn’t even speak. I did feel like my throat was building up to it for about 3-5 days prior to it but I tried to manage it with just tea and honey, should’ve done the salt water gargle first lol
Highly recommend getting tea bags of lemon & ginger and peach green tea, mix with half a lemon, and add honey. I drank this every morning. At night I would substitute the peach green tea for chamomile. Definitely helped, along with Mucinex cough drops You’re basically making a “Medicine Ball” from Starbucks or Dutch Bros
Yes me omg it was SOOO bad! Mine lasted like 3 days (the worst of it) and then 2 more days of a mild sore throat. I had tea and honey which helped me a lot, Ricola candies, and also strangely gargled with warm salt water
Agree with this. The ricola that is filled with a soft honey center.
Me and a few friends I hung out with had that the week after thanksgiving and it ended up not being COVID for any of us. Sore throat, terrible cough, fever and body chills.

Yes. Like any other viral infection, COVID affects your immune system and makes you susceptible to opportunistic secondary bacterial infections like strep - this is also why lots of people get sinus infections a week or two after having a cold or the flu.
Yes, OP. I started showing symptoms Monday, I've had to call off all this week. Sore throat - strep like honestly. And a fever hovering between 100 and 102 all week. Just took a NyQuil 😴

I thought I had COVID last week with sore throat, headache, low grade fever, and night sweats but tested negative twice! I had strep throat. And maybe a cold?

AC, have you considered that you could also have strep throat? Strep throat must be treated with antibiotics. It’s not something to mess around with.
Amazing. We used to just get strep throat in the winter.
Echinacea tea and menthol cough drops help
That was my first Covid symptom
It was my first COVID symptom too - came on a day or two before the headaches and brain fog and 3-4 days before I lost my smell / taste. The sore throat seemed to subside after 5 days or so, but I’m sure you’re seeing that everyone that’s had COVID has had a vastly different experience.
My throat was sore for 5 days straight with no other symptoms. Thought it was really strange was sure it was covid. Turned out to be a cold...
I did about a week ago! Very scratchy but started getting raw after a few days. My spouse also has it now. 4 Covid tests between us. All negative.
Could be flu
Yes but mine only lasted a day or two but I also had very mild symptoms…very mild exhaustion and loss of smell and taste.
Chloroseptic is 🙌
Yea, me and all my friends who tested positive this week had sore throat as first (and worst) symptom …
