What type of roles are you looking for and are you tech or S&O? I recently accepted for 210 incl bonus, 7% 401k and potential for stock grants based on Performance. Roles do exist
Makes sense though, M1. NYC market pays much better than Baltimore.
FYI, I just got an offer for $145k in Baltimore. I'm happy with it though. Pace of life should slow a bit and cost of living is much lower than NYC.
In all seriousness OP- Trowe and MS are your only choices. You should be able to get to 135 but that’s it.
Thanks D1. I appreciate the advice and realism. I'm actually having discussions with McCormick now. Their comp is decent at Senior Manager.
Not sure you are looking at the right places - moved to industry (fintech) last week 190k base(ivy MBA) in NY
Granted, I'm in Baltimore. I've had a few head hunters call for higher paying roles in the Northeast and Chicago, but hard to find pay >$130k in Baltimore.
Where (geographically)? Also, what's the breakdown of your pay between salary and bonus (my current $165k is salary only).
I'm looking for S&O roles. As I mentioned before, I've had higher end opportunities in Chicago and the Northeast (I can't relocate), but it's been hard to find companies which value consultants in Baltimore.
One of the reasons I am still here..... Go O’s!
I’m surprised under armor doesn’t get you north of $140
Under Armour actually pays less than other companies around here because everyone wants to work there.
Senior Managers at UA start around $120k.
Good luck OP. If it doesn’t work with the spice peeps - try switching industries. There are lots of roles in the healthcare system that you could slay with consulting skills and for our area that and CompSci are where it’s at.
Anyone need a senior in Baltimore? Likely getting promoted to senior this year in MC and very interested in Baltimore industry exits
D1... where are you located and what position and company did you accept. Congrats on the move!
If you want to earn a high salary in Baltimore, commute to DC.
