Anyone else having troubles getting adderall in nyc? I imagine it’s on back order now that school is in session and not sure where to go now that I’m out. Also, do you get prescribed a little more than you need in case of times like these?

Having trouble getting Vyvanse too

Noooooo. I was going to get my script refilled this week. What pharmacies did you try?

Try Walmart

If a pharmacy is out they should be able to call a nearby one

Yes! So there really is a shortage. As for me, I don't get prescribed extra Adderall. But I'd like to request for an additional on my prescription on my next appointment.

YEs. There is a shortage in Georgia as well. Its been so annoying trying to get it.

Oh so there really is a nationwide shortage? I though it was just here in my state. Hang in there, everyone.

When should a teammate go to management or HR about their partner not collaborating or contributing?

Weird question, I know, but I’ve been paired with someone who doesn’t collaborate, show initiative, communicate, know how to be a teammate, or honestly.. try at all.

We’re both new (since fall), so i had to uncomfortably call them out. I’m hoping things improve but I’m not holding my breath. I’m sure our coworkers recognize my effort, but I’m not letting this person drag me down. Please advise.

I started taking Adderal, 2.5 g which is not really a lot. It didn’t really help with my focus, instead I felt restless and somehow nervous and really thirsty. And it made me clench my teeth. I do grind my teeth during nighttime but never experienced this in the daytime. Does it take time to get used to it?

Long one - one of my best friends (10+ years) and I had a drink last week, I told her of my recent ADHD diagnosis and how we had noticed the generational trend (my mum & grandad as very similar symptoms wise and they acknowledge this, but not diagnosed). Is anyone on a low dose of Adderall or a similar stimulant, and do you find it helpful/effective?

When I was diagnosed (at 20 yo) I started on Adderall XR and my psychiatrist essentially took a “keep upping the dose until you feel side effects” approach, even though I still saw some benefits at a lower dose. I’m currently unmedicated and am somewhat hesitant to restart, but feel I could see some benefit and better stability with the help of medication.

Trouble waking up? Set an alarm, take your meds, go back to sleep, and wake up feeling ready for the day!

I read this tip in another ADHD forum yesterday. Someone recommending setting a “first” alarm and taking medicine and then sleeping in a bit and when your second alarm goes off you’ll feel more awake. I tried it this morning and it was great! 7:15 alarm went off and I rolled over and grabbed my meds and water. Went back to sleep and at 8 when I needed to get up I felt so much more awake!!!

How much would a 30 day supply of Vyvanse (30mg) cost me after insurance? I know this is going to vary by plan but I'm still curious as to know how expensive of a medication this is.

My pharmacy informed me that the insurance will not cover without authorization from the psych. My psych was wary about this & instead suggested Ritalin during my session. He mentioned that insurance companies want us to first try Ritalin because they are generally cheaper. How much truth is there to this? Thanks!

Any Deloitte fishes out there that have analyzed the health benefit options for Vyvanse coverage? Both me and my daughter take Vyvanse and I have been burned by plan coverage/prescription benefits in the past. I think the PPO plans actually end up cheaper, all other variables removed.
