Anyone else hear about layoffs coming for S& people with low bill-ability? Heard this from a PwCer...any specific industry or region targets?

Partner said yes at the firm all around, esp if you aren't a new hire

New hire =campus hire

My group, and S& counterparts, are kind of in a bubble of our own making. So I haven't heard of anything.

Wow really? Suppose it will be tempting to axe higher paychecks (S&) if work isn't being sold at higher (S&) rates.

I have worked for the same company for 17 years through 2 corporate takeovers. I have been remote now for 10 years, but last week they laid off all the remote people in a neighboring org. All signs point to separate or relocate for the rest of the company not near headquarters before 2023. How do you continue on with a job that you know will cut you solely based on location and not your performance? My severance will be around a half years pay so I am staying till they kick me out.

I understand that IBM layoffs people from time to time. For those who worked there at AP level or above under what circumstances does this usually happen and what are most factors play a role for the layoff in IBM

1) High compensation
2) Poor relationship with partners and supervisor
3) Non - flexibility to do any random work outside of area of specialization
4) Not enough selling revenue generation
5) Not ready to travel 75% or more
