Any recs for a semi-affordable, last minute get away? I’m still 100% remote, I’m burned out & I need a change of scenery for a few days. I’d plan to go for a long weekend & then work remotely for part & take part completely off.
On Monday, we'll have like an hour to go into our classrooms to get anything we need to start making lessons for distance learning. what do i need?
Just looking for opinions, trying to be more mindful of my finances. How much or what percentage of your salary do you guys reserve for yourself, if any? And this might include money for (not essentials ) but nice to haves.. like probably a new bag, makeup, clothes etc. I intend to put in 50% into the family expenditure pool as my contribution (my partner takes care of the rest) . I also intend to save the remaining 50% for unexpected expenses/college funds/misc, but what do I keep for me?
Does anyone have any input regarding Wilson Elser? I just got an offer there that is slightly higher than the ID firm I currently work for (typically referred to as Florida’s defense mill). Because the offer isn’t much higher than my current salary, I’m really on the fence. I was also looking for a more recognized firm that allows for better work-life balance. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Trying to decide exit plan. 3rd yr doing insurance coverage litigation, but not sure if I can spin that into in house or a solo gig that won’t be too much of a pay cut at some point (sole breadwinner with family here). Any ideas or anecdotes to help inspire the next steps?
2nd year associate here (going into my third). Will have about 114k in student loan debt at the turn of the year. I have roughly 60k in my investment account, 45k in 401k and an adequate balance in my emergency fund. I also contribute to my HSA and will cross the threshold for investing that in January. During 0% on student loans i have been using every spare dine to pay that down. My question is should that continue or should I tone that back and start investing more? Cont’d in comments...
I've gotten lazy this week. How do yall get back on the path and get motivated to get it done?

My last day at my current job is Wednesday and I’m not starting my new job until 10/4. My health insurance ends on midnight Wednesday. What should I do for those 10 days in between? Seems ridiculous to pay for COBRA for only 10 days.
Anyone receive an offer from a firm with no year-end bonus as a sign on? What did you do at that point? Tell the new firm that you will start after you get your bonus at your current firm?
Has anyone rented workout clothes at the Westin before? Thoughts on the quality/cleanliness?
