I have completed my 1 year in IBM as Senior Business Consultant in Band 6B, YOE 5.6 ...I feel my band and salary is comparatively less as compared to market standards, current CTC 13 LPA, I am holding offer for 19.5 (17 fixed, 2.5 VP)..should I ask for promotion and pay match in IBM? Finance lawyers, I’m a mid level suffering from imposter syndrome. While I generally understand financial covenants, it recently occurred to me that I have no clue WHY certain ones are included, or how they’re calculated. Like, why EBITDA instead of EBITDAX? More than 30 + employees would go into the Branch Manager's office every single day for more than a year and secretly pass gas in his office. He actually brought in an exterminator (on the company's dime) to see if there was a dead animal in the walls of his office. People from other floors actually joined in to participate. Till this day, I do not know if the Branch Manager ever found out it was a region-wide prank played on him.

I support Elon Musk buying twitter and opening it up more to free speech but he’s not the messiah that he is made out to be. At the end of the day he’s a business man and he’s gonna do whatever is profitable in the long term.
I also think it’s hilarious that most the people crying about him buying twitter made it possible by buying teslas.

I moved from India to Canada 2yrs back. I am happy here, enjoying work, new place and new lifestyle. But, even after 2yrs of being in a new country I have no social life. Couldn't meet anyone new as it's a work from home situation. There are a few meetup groups but being an introvert that I am, it's hard to make friends this way. I prefer a more natural way of meeting people.. like at work or at an institute etc. Anybody has any suggestions?
