How can one get off a project because the client is delaying system access along with wanting to shift up deliverable submission date? Is this even a legit reason to roll off?
Been on bench for 3 months, got on a 10 week project that cant seem to start (client not responding to kickoff). How likely is it that I get let go while on the project? After? What should I be doing?
Would you consider working as a contractor while on the bench with your current firm? 🤔 Unethical? Too risky?

When HR thinks they can assign their bitch work to the bench: “Plan a retirement party. Research venues and manage invites.” On what Earth is this a good use of any consultants time, pay, or growth?🙄
I rolled off a project and after 3 weeks they staffed me back. Just the thought of going back gave me a headache and a knot in my stomach :(. Just wanted to vent.

I hate that I can’t just enjoy a quiet period instead of feeling like it means I’m about to get laid off
Gearing up towards salary negotiations, I've got 2 YOE and 66.668$ TC as a consultant with no benefits. My role description has changed quite a bit since I started and I'm now the only colleague with a qualified QA degree in my team. I am considering putting forward a proposal of a 25-30% increase to match my role as QA lead, is this to bold?

The senior and SM on my project (both guys) have worked together before, and seem to be very close. The SM started involving the senior in meetings that I wasn’t even aware about to divide and conquer. I am a newly promoted Manager, and have tried not to make a big deal about it. The client asked for an extension, but the SM doesn’t want to include me to keep costs low. I’ve provided feedback to the senior on deliverables, and often times he responds “let’s ask SM”. If you just got an offer letter and haven’t accepted yet, is it too late to ask for a bigger singing bonus? Looking to raise it to 15k from 10k for a manager role at the Big 4, 145k base. They said I won’t be eligible for a year end bonus.
Did IBM begin adopting “Partner” and “Senior Partner” titles? How’s that work if it’s not partnership? Wondering if it’s moreso to build a consulting culture and distinguish from rest of the business?
If I get rejected from a cold application, can I apply again with a referral? Or will I get dinged by the system because I already applied once?
