Hi all, income limit prevents me from contributing to Roth IRA for the current FY. I’m maxing out 401k. The employer doesn’t offer HSA. What else should I be doing to reduce taxes?
Setting up a 401k for the first time. Did you decide to do pre-tax or post-tax? Why did you decide that? Retirement savings and options are all overwhelming!
Having grown up in the lower middle class and not with much money family wise, I always thought one day when I made six figures I would have tons of money coming in, but lately I am discouraged with my “take home pay”. Combined my wife and I make about $275k, we max both our 401k accounts out and after all taxes, and other deductions we take home roughly $150k. Don’t get me wrong this is a great amount. I just always dreamed my take home would be more. Anyone else feel this way? We lose over 40%

I’m 37 and I have a bit more than $400k between 401k and taxable investment accounts (VTSAX). Will I have enough to retire if I don’t save anything else but never touch this money until I’m around 60?
Which role would be better a F500 CEO -3 role/ C suite minus 2 role but may have nights and weekends or a F25 role at senior analyst level which would be 40 hours a week and same pay, plus better insurance and 401k. Both are medium cost of living cities, essentially the same type of work.
Any Deloitters can share a little bit on how the pension works? From what I see 401k is 25% match of 6% of salary. Then pension is 1.5% of base?
I left my former employer in Q4 2019 but didn’t rollover my Roth 401k prior to the crash, so I’ve left it there this whole time and it’s rebuilt nicely (not back to where it was, but closer)...cont
How many different employer 401K accounts do you have? I’ve switched companies a few times in my career and have 4, primarily because I’m too lazy to consolidate accounts. Any downsides besides having to remember the accounts?
Will my 401k contributions automatically stop at the $19.5k limit? I’m trying to avoid any potential penalties of contributing more than the limit. TIA!
SO and I both make decent money. We have about $6k left over monthly after maxing out both of our 401k, HSA. What should we do with the money? Have $100k cash saved up, so we are ok on emergency fund
Setting up our first small business 401k! Should we be an ERISA 3(38) advisor? What are the pros and cons?
Got an offer from Amazon, amazing benefits and role, but they are only matching me on my base salary? Any negotiation tips that I can use? I really want to take the offer though.

Moms, need some advice. Husband and I have decided to try to get pregnant. I love the thought of having a baby but there is this nagging anxiety about life changing drastically & the thought of how good of a mom I will be. I don’t take well to big changes in life so knowing this is going to be physically & emotionally different is worrying me. Anyone been through this?
Had a phone case interview with McKinsey today and not sure if it went well or not. Anyone knows how they get evaluated and what is important? Are you expected to come up with a specific solution?

What would you value more when deciding between jobs (both non-PA) - a company w/ prestige or with work life balance & good benefits. Let’s say same salary and potential for growth. I’m ambitious but also totally burnt out and over public accounting.
Had a third interview with CEO of tech startup last week. Now the HR manager emails me saying she wants me to 'hop on a call' with the CFO tomorrow. I already interviewed with him for the second interview. I'm not sure what to expect, it doesn't make sense that I would have another interview with him but I'm not sure what else it would be. Any ideas?
What is the Average wait at security lines at Chicago O Hare on Monday mornings around 5.45 am? Flying United Chicago to Charlotte. Thanks guys!
Accepted an offer, but the day before another company came at to interview. They offer more pay, better benefits, works more in line with what I want. But they haven't given me an offer yet, I just have a very good feeling. If I do get offer 2 how bad is it to go back on offer 1?
Is there a hard limit on how frequent you can apply in a year at FAANG? (For instance: Amazon, Google) Also, how many positions are we allowed to apply? There are just many positions at different teams right.
My manager is incapable of admitting when he’s wrong, to the point where he’s let me use the wrong formulas on client work because he couldn’t bring himself to admit he’d given me the wrong formula.
