Hi Fishes

As a .Net Developer, what are some non service based companies that are good in terms of technical learnings and growth for a 6YOE with good employee policies. Big plus for good working culture and WLB.
PS: Been working in Service based companies since last 6 years and I think I feel like I don't want to work in a client and service provider type team. O think too much effort goes into client dealing, reporting and maintaining image. Frustating to do this on daily basis.

I live in a very small rural community. I am trying to start a LGBTQ+ Alliance group for my students. Currently my administration is on board, but you can see the apprehension as I talked with them this morning.

I am not sure how to proceed, they approve but do not want me to be school sponsored "for liability" reasons. How are we supposed to do anything if I can't use the buses, or take them to things sponsored by the LGBT Community? HELP! Please no haters.

de Blaiso says we’re on track to hit orange zone of restrictions post Thanksgiving which means no more indoor dining among other things.

The metric they are using is % positivity rate.

My question is this - is this a fair metric and if not what is a better metric to compare if it’s getting worse and we need social controls?

I only got tested when I traveled out of state for wedding and thought I was at a high(er) risk for exposure. Tested positive but I was already expecting that. (Contd)

Me & my roommate had a great outdoor area (terrace of about 200/300 square feet) in Brooklyn. However, it’s all stone pavers & I’m trying to figure out the best way to add some green/plants plus add additional privacy between the common & private space. Selfishly, my window looks out to all the air conditioning units so hoping for something with a little height.

Any recs for plants (either aesthetic or practical), planters, outdoor furniture that isn’t stupid expensive & won’t immediately die?

I'm a single woman, and just woke up at 1AM to a random man (who says he's the superintendent, I've never met him) in my apartment. He used a spare key and seemed to be able to locate a water leak.
