Op it’s not half. It depends on state but typically it’s everything over 90 or 100 hours or something like that.

like

^Doesn't affect our utilization for bonus, just you lose pto If You accrue too much. I'm in this boat as well. Something like 20 hours maybe

like

I’m taking wed-fri off. I’m still writing off like 50-60 hours though.

Writing a good chunk off unfortunately. May take Friday off I can

What’s the context?

We lose half of whatever PTO we currently have on 10/1. I'm taking this week off and still writing off a shit ton

K1 fine but whatever the % is it's a lot of hours I'm losing haha

Using PTO doesn't impact our utilization at the D

Give PTO to the less fortunate 😉 (you can definitely donate some of your PTO to those who need it...)

= problem solved

I thought we lost any pto above 50% of total annual PTO That you accrue. I.e. If you accrue 25 days, you must take 12.5. Anything above 12.5, you lose. So you can only rollover half of your PTO into the next year.

K4 that’s incorrect. Go to performance connection and then my info and it says exactly how much are going to write off. It’s anything about 100 I believe. There are some states that have a different process due to regulations.

Do any firms give you “billable time” equivalent for taking vacation or time off? I think it’s kinda scammy that firms offer “unlimited pto” but still expect you to meet your hours without giving any hours equivalent for that PTO time you took. In reality, you’re not really taking PAID time off because you’ll have to make up those hours at some point in the year anyway.

Need advice: I just started this week at my new company and prior to joining I brought tickets with my friends together for a one week vacation to the West Coast. It will be the week of 7/4. Now I just talked to my manager about taking the week off, but found out we are actually really busy that week. There were some compromise, but still not ideal. I have really 3 options: change my group flight, cancel, or work during the vacation. Any other options or advice will be helpful!

I have been in sales even before college. I'm reaching a burn out. I feel like the expectations get higher the more work I put in and that ends with me putting on many hats to get done. I can't catch a break, let alone allowed a decent vacation without having to negotiate based on performance. I honestly don't want to be in sales forever. I'm versatile when it comes to any tasks due to the nature of wearing many hats. Any suggestions?

I’m hearing about so many company holiday parties. We’ve never had one and it makes me so bummed out! Is it just my group/dept? Do any of you oracle peeps have a holiday party??

Did everyone take a day or two off to celebrate the holiday? Does anyone feel pressure to work on the holidays? It seems like major meetings get schedules with no thought about the high holidays

Renegotiating my contract and curious about maternity leave policies at other practices/hospitals. Do you get paid leave? If so how much time off & are you getting full pay? We are a group of about 75 employees, 6 docs with 5 PA’s and only unpaid 12 weeks off.

Hi, so I’ve been working as a (TCP temporary creative professional) while one of the agency’s employees was on leave. I understood it to be a FT position, clocking in, etc but last week a bunch of employees were on vacation and I didn’t get projects. My work from the week before was all approved, so I had no edits. I asked for work, reached out, etc but ended up with very few billable hours, which annoyed the bosses. Now I’m not sure how to proceed. Do I NGAF, clock in? Or wait for work?
