Can you switch this to the morning? That’s what we do at my current firm and I’m switching to Deloitte soon. I’d take a super early morning meeting and plan ahead what will need to be done rather than stay on that late

Whaaat? You’re calls with the Indian team take place at 11:30 PM EST? That makes no sense. Send an email EOD and circle back the following morning…

What in the world lol. As others have said, needs to be like a 9am ET standup, that’s ~7pm in Delhi

To those saying it needs to be a US morning meeting 1) that eliminates the possibility of my India team working on anything during their day time that would require explanation 2) some things are not well communicated via email, especially for models and things of that nature 3) when I’m asking them to do work, I try to make it as convenient for them as possible. If they were asking me to do something, I’d hope they’d extend the same courtesy. When possible I make it a morning meeting but sometimes I end up with 11:30p meetings and a different touch point at 7:30a/8a

Read an article in Fortune saying that American and Delta is going to start offering "bare-bone" tickets that are unassigned and even more crowded than coach to compete with Spirit and Co. Ugh.

What do I need to standout at Microsoft ? It has always been a dream company of mine. Currently a Principal Tech Strategist and was previously a Technology Consulting Manager at ACN. 6 YOE in tech consulting. Also curious if Microsoft pays as much (hopefully more) than what I’m making (175k base + usually about 25k bonus). Appreciate any inputs!

I started in consulting a few months months ago after a few years in industry and am nervous I am not picking up things quick enough and I am worried of my progression. Any advice on starting this role on the right foot especially during WFH? I feel as though the learning curve is tough given the circumstances Also, any general advice from people who made the transition from industry to consulting and how you were able to be successful?
