I’m seeing lots of posts about really bad losses. If you trade you’re going to lose money - hopefully not all the time, but many positions will be mistakes. But you need a process to find ideas and manage positions. Two books you should read are “The New Trading for a Livinng” and “The Laws of Trading.” Both look at psychology, process, and risk in different ways that can help you work out your own process. The next 18 months will be much harder than the last 18 - time to start learning.

I once read a book called the Psychology of Everyday Things and fell in love with the concept of engineering design from a person-centered perspective.

Is this a part of what I/O psychologists do?

I saw a comment on here from someone referencing a book about organisational Psychology and working with different types of personalities, but I can’t find the comment/thread now. Do any of you have recommendations on this topic?

What books would you recommend for understanding human psychology / personalities? In a people oriented industry like consulting, I imagine it really helps understanding human behavior and building self awareness. For context, young person in consulting here.

What are your favorite personal finance books? I just read Rich Habits and really liked it. I am also reading the Psychology of Money. Looking to read some more!

Lots of concern over tech banning of Parler etc - But what exactly is the option? Do you want a completely open unregulated platform built and hosted on government servers (won’t that be problematic for your privacy?). Do you want private companies to relinquish control of their own platform to government? Is anyone reaaaaally stopping Parler from exploring complete private offshore vertical integration with conservative backing?
