Love it! Saving 2+ hours of commuting time every day and $300/mo in parking.

Same here. I was at about 3 hours/day commute and $35/day to park. Wish I had stopped paying into the commuter card earlier though :/ I do NOT want to go back to that

Love it as well! I asked my old firm if I could work remote after covid and they said that is not in their plans, so I found a new Tax Senior role that does offer 100% remote with California wages! Reach out if you’re current firm won’t let you work remote after covid and I’ll out you in touch with my recruiter.

Okay...will you be able to check and see if they are offering the remote work? Will really be a great help.

Loving it now that i finally have a home office set up.

Must have been tough working from your car!

Loving it! As long as my team is functional and reliable, I'm going to let them keep doing it after we're allowed back to the office.

It's great! But it's not for everyone. I actually listened to a podcast recently about WFH, and this company experimented in 2019 with mass WFH, and anticipated the loss in productivity would be offset by the loss in rent cost, and turns out the WFH makes people MORE productive than they would be in the office. But it also was made apparent that EFH is not everyone's first choice, and that many people have are on the WFH/office spectrum.

I think I enjoy it, but I’ve never worked in the office though

Love it!! And can’t imagine going back to office anymore

Yes! Love it

I LOVE it!!

I love it too. My home office is luxe compared to my office. I do however like going in a couple days a week for human contact.

like

Would like it in moderation. Office 1-3 days, WFH 2-4 days a week

My firm recently announced that they were beginning a reservation system for hoteling starting February of 2022 for offices . We were told to clear out our offices by December 31,2022 . The lease is not up for renewal until June 2024 at which point they will look to reduce their office space due to a hybrid work model . My issue is what incentive do I have to make a reservation to go to an office when I can simply continue work from home hassle free. Any Thoughts and comments?

I’m a total lard ass after WFH for almost 2 years and I’m starting a new job that’s mostly in person. None of my cute work clothes fit to boot so I have to figure out what I’m going to wear while working on losing the weight. Great.

My professional life at the moment is far from ideal. I’ve been on quarantine (long story, but a good one) for the last seven years. Royalties from my books don’t pay the bills. My entrepreneurial pursuits remain hampered. For the interim, I’ve been looking for a remote opportunity where I can leverage my skills in marketing, sales, social media, and elsewhere for a decent sum. I have a social media presence which, in recent years, reached millions. There has to be something exciting I can do.

Overworked mom of two young kids and I’ve come to the realization that I have very few friends who live nearby. I’m the only one of my close circle who didn’t head to suburbs after kids and WFH has made me aware of how reliant I was on work friends for a social outlet. I’ve still got great friends I can call for anything but, really missing having girlfriends I can just meet up without planning a month in advance. Strategies for making new friends in middle age and with very little spare time?
