Anyone else really pack on the pounds during work from home? I really blew up - probably gained 40-45 pounds. I feel so bloated and sluggish all the time and none of my clothes fit anymore. I hope I’m not alone.

Gained 25-30. Decided I’d had enough December 1. Joined WW online and am down 30 as of Friday. It can happen!

Same here. I really need to get into shape. I’ve never been this big before. It’s horrifying.

Same I gained 30 lbs and had my physical with blood tests recently and now I’m pre-diabetic. That was certainly a wake up call for me. I joined WW this week and walked 30 mins last night. The snacking and craving sugar is my issue. I know I’ve got to be disciplined and turn this around. Best of luck to everyone struggling with the same issues!!!

I literally don’t move from my desk

I gained about 10lbs at first. Then left consulting. Down 15 since then (only been 4 months). It made all the difference. Oddly I still work a ton, but the stress just hits differently. Longer relying on food to bring me relief.

I've lost around 20. Most meals are home-cooked + consistent access to a great home gym... Way easier than trying to stay fit traveling M-Th.

It’s really rough being home so much, I get it! I have gotten myself into the habit of going for a walk everyday, and I will highly encourage it! For me, there were 2 main learnings: 1) Walks are my time to disconnect from work, social, etc. I find a good podcast or music and just enjoy time for myself. Literally block my calendar and told my team it’s a requirement I walk everyday (willing to fluctuate on time as long as it’s light outside). 2) This simple thing has made me feel much better about myself cause I feel healthier, well along with *mostly* eating healthy. I’ve found even when my weight changes a bit, it bothers me less because I feel better.

I’ve done this too. I try to get as close to 10k steps before 9am.

Same

Same op :((

I lost 4 lbs, not having all that free food in the office really helps. I have more time to workout (no commute), so I workout 30 mins a day, 6 days a week and walking my dog on my rest day is my movement for that day. If you really want it, you can make it happen! I believe in you!

I gained 25 throughout the year and then lost it plus another another 20. So down 20 since Covid. Food scale changed everything.

I went back to the office this month (3/4 days per week) and it’s been a positive experience. Plus it seems that some partners who are going in appreciated it. But the office is a 15 min drive away for me. Some people need to commute an hour plus to be there. Will they be at a disadvantage if they actually try to take advantage of hybrid WFH in the future?
