An old colleague referred me to her team at this large e-commerce company for a full-time role. The interview with the hiring manager went well, so she set up the second interview with a marketing manager. So right out of the gate, this manager asks me why some of the freelance roles I’ve had were only 1 to 3 months, as if this is a huge red flag. I told him that that’s what the agreed upon duration was. Anyone else have this come up?

Industry vets - in your experience how recession proof is insurance? I was not yet in the job market last recession but I watched my mom get laid off and struggle to find employment during that time for the next 1.5 years. My initial prequalification from the same bank (when I had indicated a down payment of 20%) was 2.62 and APR 2.673.
