Does anybody have any advice when applying to postings with many applicants and getting noticed? The company I am interested in is Figma, and though I reached out to a few technical recruiters after applying through LinkedIn, I am wondering if there might be something more I could do that maybe I’m not thinking about. Also along those lines, if anybody here works for figma I would love the chance to connect
Any federal AWS solutions architect working for Deloitte? How is the hiring process, especially for those that do not have hands on cloud experience? I’m getting a feeling there’s more focus on expanding work with experienced hires and less on growing people who have potential and related skills.

If you can, maybe a change of venue. I’m not sure I know how to get a job. I do go into schools personally to drop off my information after I apply. However, when I was desperate to get a job, that anxious energy interfered with my ability to interview well and I bombed those interviews. When I let it go; telling myself I can do anything else, that nervous energy was gone and I got the job.
Try applying in other states. Revise your resume. Then, apply to teach in Vegas😃. They need 750 teachers ASAP.
Get on substitute lists! My school tends to hire from the sub lists!
I struggled after college and during the recession. Try getting some resume and interview help with a trusted friend or local library. Any profession can help you brush up those skills and catch things you’re missing. Also, have a trusted person help you go over your online application. Those are screened for certain buzz words, and you might not be including them. Finally, there’s a trick where you update or make small changes to your online app. Any tiny update, even retyping your name, puts yours back at the top of the app list. I had to search for five years after the recession, and my neighbor had to long-term sub for five years before she landed a full-time job. You’re not alone. Best of luck!

Might be time to relocate. Many states face severe shortages. Call back an administrator you met with and ask for their assistance. Educators are people who like to help people. Tell them to be brutally honest. Go over your resume with a fine tooth comb and discuss the issues/how to improve the answers to your interview questions. Maybe you are too closely connected and without realizing it giving off the wrong impression.
In our district ageism and being too high on the salary scale are the top factors. Are you older and more expensive? If so, perhaps change gears. We let go of all the new older and experienced hires last year before they could get tenured. Such bullshit
Sounds like you work on my district
Sub at a school that you would like to be at. You will be valued, you will show how you can lead different classes, and you will become part of the team.
What state are you in?

2nd year in a different temporary contract...subbed for 22 years...46 applications from May to Aug and not one interviews. I wonder if it's too many units for higher pay or ageism? I am daunted.
