IKR! I’ve got 4 children’s (ages 8, 6, 3 and 2) Management keeps saying “don’t worry about the background noise” we support you! I’m thinking to myself “you’ve got no idea what I’m trying to tell you....” if you support me send a damn sitter!!! 🤬
We're all with you. I have a lot of vacation days and I discussed with my husband and we're each going to try to take one day off a week (I'm sitting for wednesdays) so I can spend time with the kids without distractions and then I'll get the day my husband takes without distractions.
That’s insane.
🙋♀️ - No school age kids, but will he home with a 3 year old and a 9 month old. As of now, the deadlines do not seem like they are moving, so this all seems insurmountable. Stay safe and sane.
I’m really worried about this all- I have a 2 year old. I don’t want to bring a babysitter into our space right now, it feels like the opposite of social distancing, but my husband has to go to work. We’re going to try to split the day, he’s going in early and leaving early and I’m going to work afternoon/evening. I hope my team will be supportive, the other people with kids either have a stay at home wife or a full time nanny.
What an amazingly overwhelming day...that was hard and I literally feel like I got no work done between the kids assignments, emails to teachers and all the conference calls with my teams who are now remote to make sure everyone stays productive. I’m exhausted but so much work to do still...
I feel your pain! Same here with homeschool a fourth and second graders! I requested partners to suggest what to do and they asked me to charge vacation and extra leave but not C-19 code since this would affect their profit sharing of their business unit. I’m having a call with HR. Not sure why Kelly Grier sent the code to charge if we are not allowed to!
