Has anyone jumped from Big 4 Advisory to Tier 1 Consulting firms (e.g. MBB). Was the jump at the same, higher or lower level?
Better to be a big fish in a small pond or a little fish in a big pond for MBA apps (I.e. superstar at B4 or mediocre/below average at MBB; metaphorically speaking ofc, ik the B4 is technically bigger in terms of size but you understand the point in terms of competitiveness)?
I received a verbal offer to go to a B4. It’s been about a week since then. They haven’t gone entirely dark, but how confident can I be that they’re not stringing me along, and that they may cancel?
Sacramento Big 4 folks: What is your office culture like? Which is the best Big 4 in town in terms of market power?
Looking to make move to Big 4... Anyone have salary for experienced manager at Big 4? What are hours like? Responsibilities?
Got a verbal offer from a big 4 a month ago, discussed salary expectations 3 weeks ago, still no offer letter. Firm has to let me know it should be coming soon. Are these normal timelines?
Seeking advice on how to choose between a mid tier technical accounting advisory offer and Big 4 audit. Worked in audit at a local firm and wanted a bigger platform. Would love to switch to advisory to be more well rounded. Mid tier advisory offers higher salary but also thinking big 4 has a better platform and maybe better exit opportunities in the long run? Insights please.

I’m a tech consultant working in the SAP practice. I’m a second year associate. I have decided that I don’t like the culture of consulting - work more hours, always add more work and responsibility to your plate, etc. I would like to work a job that is more 9-5 that doesn’t expect you to work in so many different things at once. What industry roles should I be applying to? Is leaving after 1.5 years too soon?
Do top 10 schools generally fly you out for interviews? Or are they mostly Skype? Or do you have to pay your way to interview in person? Does it depend on the school?
Coronavirus is still lurking behind the scenes. News reports are so vague. They Don't even break it down by state?
I know we all love the work from home (or do we?) but does anyone actually miss traveling for their consulting engagements and all the fun that goes along with it? The late nights at the office then the bar and random hookups and excitement and all that? Sure it’s a grind but I think I actually miss it too. Maybe I just miss seeing people at work or seeing people at all. I wonder if we’ll ever get back to that.

I have an incoming interview for a bizops role and they will test sql, what should I prepare? I only know very basic sql and they will have a sql case study. Does anyone have an example or some material that I can study for a few days?
Anyone given the Googlyness and Leadership interview? What kind of questions are asked?
🐠: Going to start traveling again soon, and don't have status on any airlines. Which airline do you recommend I use, considering ease of boarding, available overhead space, etc. I'll be going to CLT
What made your internship special and why did you want to join your firm? Think, fun things or small touches that went a long way, too.
For the attorney moms, how do you focus/prioritize work? I’m a recent-ish mom and have been back to work for about 2 years at two different firms in that time. But I constantly struggle with guilt and putting off or slacking on work because it feels like my brain is hardwired to prioritize time with my child. I always feel like I’m lacking in one department. Will it ever get better? Any tips or similar experiences welcome!
