Ya it blows my mind how short the deadlines are š”
Seems like the courts could help play a role in reducing the stress!
If Iām plaintiff, I want the shortest deadlines possible because I want to keep up the pressure for settlement and get to trial faster.
True. I guess my point is letās do away with the 7-14 day deadlines for the sake of lawyers mental health on both sides.
And amen, that is the best way to honor him šš¼!
14 days is too short for anything but really short motions. Judges donāt know or donāt care about the realities of working for a client.
I donāt know that I see that many court imposed deadlines. I get a lot of them from OP in discovery āmeet and conferā letters (I.e. they find our written discovery answers āinsufficientā and demand supplemental responses in 14 days).
I never understand that deadline. You know it took at least 28+ days to draft the original answers. Why would you expect the āmissing linkā to appear in 7-14 days?
Agree but also those are unenforceable deadlines really. Youād be fine if you just responded saying youāre still analyzing their position etc?
