Anyone else worried that they’re going to actually cancel student loans? So many more people will be able to buy homes it’s going to make it much harder to find good deals for rental properties/flips

It won’t happen and if it does, then good for those with loans

Imagine hoping people sit in debt so you can make money

Yep EY1, it all equilibrates in the end. Loans get forgiven, but makes home buying more expensive for all those who had their loans forgiven. OP, if you’re so worried about it, lever up and buy a rental property now, you’ll make bank on the value increase of the property should they be forgiven.

What is wrong with you.

This is probably the second most tone deaf post I’ve seen today, after that goober who said he loved Covid because working from home made him more productive and he enjoyed the environment of fear.

If student loans get cancelled, more power to those who bet the farm on a prestigious pedigree.

My only request is that no one shames me for going to a non-target on a merit scholarship so I could graduate debt-free.

Hey, it almost reads like a poem…

If they cancel student loans - any significant portion of the outstanding $1.7T - deficits will rise, inflation (which is already at 40 year high) will further spiral out of control leading to the pretty horrific outcomes for the economy. Finding well priced Rental properties/flips will be the least of our problems then.

Never going to happen

I hope you are joking…otherwise watch out for the mob with pitchforks when the 99% find out about this.

Only cancel mine.

I deserve it

For better or worse, this is 100% exactly what will happen.

Isn’t it more about the spread? You pay more but sell for more? If anything could help

And everyone says I’m an ass when I say canceling student loans would be bad for us.
