Hello all,
Any idea about the WFH policy of opentext for coming days? As I understand Opentext not giving permanent WFH to any employee but do they consider any exceptions in case of family reason or medical?
Does opentext provide RSU (restricted stock units) to employees at Lead Consultant level?
And is RSU amout part of CTC? Wipro Tata Consultancy Accenture Infosys IBM Consulting Deloitte USI

Haha yes this 💯 upvotes
My entire family and some friends think that unless I'm in an office somewhere I'm not working. They also think 9-5 is standard hours and I should be available before and after.
Tell me about it. When I WFH I actually work harder. There have been days where my Fitbit registered fewer than 250 steps before 5:30 pm because I did not move at all. Just worked.
"Why do you ever feel overworked? Don't you have every Friday off and only work half days on Monday?" Murderous feelings this morning towards SO for this little group of sentences that he seriously meant.
When you have to explain why you cannot do a grocery run
My favorite is "you are always flying, what a great life!"
Upvote x1000 - my parents asked me why I need to send my kids to daycare on Fridays since I'm working from home 🙄🙄🙄
"Day off with IM active" this post is so accurate it hurts
Not my SO but my mom definitely. She wanted to go to Nashville next Friday and was like oh if you have to get online we can stop in a mcdonalds fast. No mom I have to be sitting and working all day...
Yes . We also leave the office everyday at 5pm, drink at the hotel bar and spend every night at the best restraints before getting some shut eye at 10pm 👏
My Mom had an actual fight with me that my brother (also in consulting and a SM) did NOT work on Fridays. She told me I didn't know what I was talking about ... ummm? What? We do the same thing? In fact at the point we had this "discussion" - we both (my brother and I) both worked for the same firm!
Yes I usually get: Oh you're working from home? Can you run a couple loads of my laundry?
Absolutely. That's why I typically don't wfh
True story!
Every single time. I usually respond with "would it be easier if I just went into the office?" which generally works for a few hours...
YESS!!!
Yes
I don't work from home anymore because my wife comes home expecting I did errands, choirs, etc etc. it got worse after we had a kid. I'll literally work from anywhere else
Even worse when you SO is 100% virtual for their job and you have to WFH...
