Anyone ever been to Portugal in November? I have some time off during thanksgiving and there’s some RT flights for $500 but it sounds like November is the cold & rainy season. I’ve always wanted to go though, but the weather makes me nervous. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Not Portugal but lived in Spain. Yes, Westeym Europe (Spain, France, Italy) is pretty rainy that time of year. I went to Portugal in May and it rained, and while that meant no beach, if you were in the city and dressed warmly, it wasn’t bad. Just have a good list of indoor museums or palace touring for those rainy days!

For me waterproof thigh high flat boots kept me warm! I wore skirts and sweaters and didn’t even wear a jacket most of the time but I don’t get cold that easily

I went to Lisbon, Sintra and the Algarve over Thanksgiving a few years ago and it was fine. The Algarve was too cold to swim, but the views were stunning.

For anyone debating whether to go in house, I recently went in house, and the mental health benefit of not having to worry about billable hours is completely worth the switch. It's great not having to worry about catching up on hours when I'm out for a doctor's appointment, vacation, etc. It's more of a mental health relief than I guessed it would be.

Im really struggling. Every day I'm on the verge of a complete mental breakdown. I'm always working, yet I'm always behind on hours. I feel like I'm digging deeper and deeper in the hole with no end in sight. I know firm life is not for me, but I need the money and don't want a gap in my resume. Im thinking I want to go in-house, but it could be a year before the right job comes along. I'm just so tired. I don't know if I can hold out that long. So...any guesses to what’s in this Holiday Mystery Box?

I booked a hotel for vacation a few weeks ago, and I just saw the same room on a booking website about $50/night cheaper. I thought "wow what a great deal!" and cancelled my existing booking and rebooked on the other website.

Well it turns out that the other website was in USD and my original booking was in CAD, and instead of saving $50/night I ended up spending $75/night extra.

Moral of the story is, don't be dumb like me
