Anyone ever do hot yoga (Bikram) to lose weight?

Yeah went to a studio here a few times. Problem was location was terrible and instructor quality varied widely. Loved the heat, but the class times I could attend were never great. I'm still doing yoga, but now I sit in sauna at the gym to get my sweat on.

I used to do it 2-3 times a week to supplement weight training as way to maintain flexibility and get some deep stretching.

Yes - and it works. Just make sure to pair hot yoga with relatively clean eating (minimize processed foods) and lots of water. You’ll feel better while in the class and it will aid your weight loss significantly!

I was struggling to even look at myself in the mirror since this is the heaviest I’ve been. I went back working out at least 4 times a week and eating very healthy. I obviously haven’t lost any weight yet but today was the first time I could look at myself at the mirror without feeling grossed. Felt like freedom in some way 🥲

Hi, I’m 30yrs old and by next week I will be 31yrs old. Got married 2 yrs ago and we have been trying for kids from past 7 months but no luck, we try to have sex almost all 7 days of fertile window. I get my periods regularly, I don’t have thyroid nor PCOD. My Gyn did all test, and everything looks fine, my ovaries, Fallopian tubes , harmonies. Do I need to see fertility doctor ,if so, how is the best fertility doctor near Boston area. Need inputs for next steps before it’s too late 😒

Just got notice from amerisourcebergen they are not going to follow the ada. My doctor filled out a ada form for 2 extra 15 min breaks and time away from the computer if I have a panic attack or an anxiety attack without reprimand. I was told they don't need to follow the recommendations and it's based on business needs. They are violating federal law!!!! I will be contacting a lawyer Monday morning

I’m curious how long people were in the peri menopause phase? I’ve read it’s an average of 4 years but I’m curious what people’s experiences are. I believe I am late stage peri menopausal and my periods have been very irregular for the past 9 months ranging 13-60 days between periods. If anyone has any studies you could point me to, I’d love to see those as well! I’m 40 and my mom entered menopause at 41.

A former client director colleague has gone in-house as CMO. I am a 38 yo woman, always been very active (I run 20 miles/week), normal BMI, and eat healthy. I just had a routine blood test and while my HDL is 70 and triglycerides 53 (both good), my LDL is suddenly 132 (normal is up to 130). Any tips on what to do? I don’t have heart disease anywhere in my family. Only think I can think is ever since covid started I eat chocolate every night. Could that alone cause this?? Any help appreciated.
