Hi fishes,
Do you follow up with people after an interview? And, 2 weeks after the interview if you don't hear back from HR/ other team?
What's the usual trend?
The Novo Nordisk HEOR team was great, the manager responded with reason for rejection, with guidance on which Dept I'll be more suitable for. Really enjoyed the interview process.
On the other hand, Novartis has gone silent after three rounds of interviews! Do I officially consider myself being "ghosted"?
What do you do? 🤔

Hello Everyone! Does anyone have a connection at Netflix ! I am an author/marketing associate and truly my dream job is to work on the team that creates/produces Drive to Survive. I am a huge F1 fan! However, I am willing to start where I can and work my way there! I was laid off due to Covid and just trying to get back into the field and industry I love.

God I definitely used to work with you. Or a "you." Either way: most of us aren't intimidated by you. We're just waiting for you to stop pontificating.
As an aside, it's one thing to know you have an overbearing personality and ask for help on how to mitigate it--but simply using the word "intimidate" is pretty telling of your situation.
Listen more. If someone already said something and you’re about to say the same thing (reiterate their point with more excitement), don’t. Waste less time thinking aloud during meetings and write it down instead. Don’t think because people don’t talk as much they don’t have thoughts. May or may not apply to you. Let your extraversion be an asset, not an annoyance or detriment to the group.
Do you by any chance happen to have a teardrop tattoo?
Yes. But I weigh 600 pounds and sport several face tattoos.
@ogilvy unfortunately your 2nd statement is not necessarily true. Idk if OP is female or not, but as a woman I’ve been repeatedly told I’m intimidating when all I am is extremely dedicated and extroverted. If I were a guy... you get the gist.
You could certainly be right, and it’s always worth being self aware for sure, but it’s also not the only explanation unfortunately
It’s true that senior people are politically aware and don’t want to hire the person who will replace them/threaten their position. If you think that’s the case, maybe examine why they might feel threatened by you. Because if you’re as competent as you think you are, they should be dying to bring you in to help them out.
@ogilvy I appreciate your opinion but it’s not the case maybe I could of worded my question better.
Not really what I ment...
And to clarify my POV from above, I'm a woman who early on in my career was referred to as "intimidating." I eventually realized what GCD explained above. Learned how to navigate by listening closer or picking my battles better. But even then, I never would have described myself as "intimidating."
