Lots of people. if you’re planning to do that it’s recommended for you to work in Tax. Tax deals with regs, and gets you prepared in the mindset of reading lots and lots of code.
My concern with law is the fact that the market is heavily over saturated , a majority of lawyers actually don’t make that much money (so you need to be really confident in your ability to be top 10%), and the future of automation and AI in the industry. (Yes accounting gets a lot of flack for getting automated but I personally feel [most] lawyers are closer to the chopping block).
Or you could go to law school and end up in PA 🤔
Lol true, ^ a ton of law grads in PA.
I know life isn’t all about salary, but if that’s what you’re thinking about: the amount people put into law school and working their way up to a decent lawyer salary is really not much different than if you had just stayed in PA through manager or senior manager (especially with time value of money, opportunity cost, and tuition). Managers make $150+ and senior managers can make $200+ ( location varies) , so if it comes down to making more money, I’d just stick with PA.
I would agree with most of what was said but add that it really depends on what kind of law you want to practice and where you see yourself in 10 years.
