Anyone ever had success in a claim for breach of contract based on breach of the covenant of good faith and fair dealing? Jurisdiction Virginia. Just filed the suit and anxious.

That’s usually a loser unless you can point to an actual contract term that’s been breached. Breach of the covenant, by itself, is a weak claim IMHO.

That might work well then — good luck!

In this scenario theres no written contract just a purchase agreement, no terms. Thats why the only COA i could find was the breach of kt based on breach of the covenants.

Your claim may be for quantum meruit or unjust enrichment.

How important is having a “name brand” on your resume? For context, undergrad at a top 10 non ivy that typically gets less name recognition and work experience at a T2 (LEK, P-EY, Kearney, etc). Feeling like my resume has a lot of silver but not gold. Thinking about switching jobs 2 years into consulting to either startup or small tech company (don’t want to be at FANG). Will adcoms / future job interviewers view this as a downgrade?
