Anyone ever have an unused ticket that has been paid for by the company? Can you use these for personal travel? First time this has happened, so not sure, but I have a year to use it.

I’m pretty sure that using a business credit for a personal flight would be out of policy.

like

Pretty sure it’s theft

like

You don’t use it for personal travel. It goes onto your account to use and if you don’t use it, it goes to firm funds for other flights.

like

You would use it towards your next project. Your firm still paid for it, so even though another client was charged, it doesn’t matter.

like

Yes but I believe you have to cancel the flight before it occurs. Happened to me and was able to apply to credit to another flight minus the change fee (was like $200)

like

As long as you shell out the cost of your next business flight out of your own savings!

like

No but yes.

Ok, so I will just let it sit and let the company find it and figure it out. It’s been expensed and paid for at this point. I’m billing on a new project code, so the unused ticket will most likely expire since the project it was tied to is done. Thanks everyone!

You use them for your next project. I’m sure whatever firm you work for has exact guidelines for this and how to code it for expense purposes(if at all) but just use it for other work travel.

It’s totally unethical but ... ok?

I wouldn’t do it.. seems like the couple hundred dollars you’d be saving us not worth the risk

Flew for the first time today. Woman next to me took her mask off immediately upon sitting down and starting chatting loudly with her son. I asked her politely if she could keep her mask on and she proceeded to spend the rest of the flight fake sneezing and laughing giving me the side eye to see my reaction. What an inspirational mother.

General question: can you change the culture of a 4,000 personal organization in 3 months? I think you can set up a framework but real cultural change takes time. And Nov/Dec doesn’t seem like the ideal time to do it. I ask because trying to find a way to present this to my boss with proof points.

i just had an excellent review with my supervisors. we are aligned i am ready to be promoted. i will be moving from project manager to senior project manager. the catch; my company has laid off 75% of its staff, and cut our salaries by 25%. timing is unclear, since we work in the live entertainment space. what is fair to ask for? i have 7 years work force experience, am the only one in my position, touch every creative deliverable the agency makes, and updated and streamlined 10+ processes.

I really need advice please. I’m a newly promoted S1 in Tax & I’m extremely conflicted. I really wouldn’t mind staying till manager. While I work extremely long hours, I find the work interesting & I enjoy working with my team. I don’t plan on having kids for a while so I really just want to do the best to put myself in a position where I will be the most successful in the long term. People who left at manager, do you think it helped or hindered you by staying that long?
