No - once I’ve moved on I’ve moved on.

No but I have thought about it and tried in one circumstance. I know people who have done it as well. I think it all depends on the unique circumstances of your specific circumstance of when it makes sense to try to go back if that’s what you’re thinking about.

I grew up in a family that doesn’t really resolve conflict. We make passive aggressive comments or just brush it under the rug because it always blows up into a fight. How do you bring up conflict/raise issues in a relationship or even during dating? I notice guys will ignore a message or try to make a joke to avoid addressing something and I don’t want to nag by bringing it up again, so I end up feeling ignored a lot until I resent them. What’s the best way to do this?

Assuming someone starts at SC2 at the beginning of the calendar year (say Jan). What's the general time (years or months) when he/she becomes SC3? And thereafter, what's the time (years or months) he/she becomes Manager 1 from SC3? What's the minimum %age of first hike (non promotion hike)? Is a hike within rank (say SC1 to SC2 or SC2 to SC3) just the yearly hike or is it like a promotion hike (higher percentage which is seen during promotions)? #careerprogression

Need some insight — I’ve been talking to a guy who is pretty cool and we vibe well. It’s still early stages so nothing serious, but sometimes I can’t tell if he’s being self-centered in conversation or just trying to impress me. What are some indicators I should be looking for and is there a good way I can raise this with him? For context, he definitely expresses interest in me and my opinions, but he’s often one driving the conversations and we end up mostly talking about topics he brings up.

I’ve always been curious. Is there a reason Accenture is publicly traded company and other consulting firms arent? consulting is client service and wouldnt need CAPEX spending or anything so what is their rationale for wanting to raise public capital?

Hot take: If you're trying to leave consulting, it's actually to better on the same client / industry / project for an extended period (1+ year). While you have to constantly and proactively reinventing yourself so you aren't working a dead end role, the sustained time will allow to build deeper skills and open doors for exits beyond the typical strategy / PM roles most consultants target.

For the past 2 years I’ve been scrambling for digital projects at Accenture and even took management and data projects (neither I was qualified to do, but the teams needed help) to avoid too much time on the bench and getting fired- I’ve been working for almost 4 yrs but I only just got a 20% raise to $85k. When I see people here talk about making way way more for less experience, I wonder if I’m being underpaid. And how would I start a negotiation for a raise or look for other opportunities??

Interested in your opinions. Last year I took a government job. Before I was working as an independent consultant and netting more - obviously without pension and benefits though. With extra medical expenses this year (outside of government insurance) I realize I’m simply not making enough money to do what I want and need to to (medical + travel + investing). Everyone tells me to stay for security and WLB.
