Anyone ever leave for a chiller role then regret it? I did three years in Consulting then went to PE. After a year in PE I came back to Consulting because the stress/culture of the fund I joined was far worse than I expected. I’ve been back in Consulting for a while now, and am enjoying being back, but I can’t shake this feeling I’m wasting my potential. Like because I’m no longer reaching for the highest rung on the ladder (PE), I’m selling myself short professionally. Any advice?

We need to be truly proud of our culture and people. Black and Hispanic people are unapologetically proud of theirs. On the other hand, we show pride by taking our white partners to dim sum. This is the other reason why we are a model minority. We surrender ourselves and seek white acceptance. Everyone sees through this and they don't respect us.

I have an opportunity to become a fractional CMO for a startup that I really like. I have no idea what to charge hourly. I’m reading online $200/hr+ but that seems crazy to me. It would be a 1099 role.

Am I underselling myself if I charge $150/hour for 10 hours of work a week? I typically charge this for my existing freelance rates, but that is not for CMO work.

‼️DATING SOMEONE IN COMPETING FIRM‼️Anyone have any experience dating someone that works at a competitor ? I’m a new hire and I’ve been reading the policies and it seems really strict. For ex:
