Hi Nagarrians, it's been 45 days now since I joined Nagarro I was assigned a team at the time of joining but since then I am waiting for interview to take place. Is this normal procedure? Although from day 2 my project manager asked me to fill the timesheet corresponding to one project which is no billable. I am having concerns now as I don't know if this is normal ?

I “rage quit” my last two firms, but only in the sense that each time there was a very specific moment that I had had enough. I didn’t rage quit on the spot without a job lined up, but both times I went immediately to my clogged inbox and started replying to every recruiter for more details. As much as it might feel like a moral victory to leave on the spot, without notice, and without a job to walk right into, no one wins. In fact, only you lose. You’ll be replaced very quickly. Semi-check out of this job mentally, devote a lot of energy into your job hunt while meeting your deadlines but not putting any extra effort in, and you’ll land somewhere. Living well is the best revenge.
Which firm is this (DM)? Thinking of lateraling out of a V10 and want to make sure I steer clear!

I worked with a senior associate who quit on our monthly section zoom meeting last fall saying he “f****** hates law firms.” He started an antique shop the next month. He’s a role model to me tbh

A guy down the hall from me rage quit about a year ago. It was epic. I’m not sure if it affected his reputation — no idea where he is now.

Provide details.
I worked with a guy that legit threw his keyboard against the wall and I heard all the buttons spray off in different directions. He didn’t quit though but I remember that being pretty epic.
I’ve known two people to do it, and my advice is don’t do it. If you’re that unhappy, start looking for a new job. You’ll feel a lot less stressed looking for a new job if you still have one than if you’re going to have to worry about income flow. If looking takes longer than expected, you may also then be inclined to take the first thing that comes along instead of finding a place you like. Start applying today, but don’t rage quit :)

I turn off my computer and phone in the middle of the day and go awol from time to time🤷♀️
I knew a first year who rage quit, then begged for his job back, got it and then quit exactly at the one year mark. He's now doing just swell at another biglaw firm.

More rage quit stories!
I’ve only watched it - best example was a new mom back from maternity leave. Super sweet, quiet, always pleasant. Asked to work (in the office) for something like the third full weekend in a row after coming back. She took a breath, walked down the hall, and gave notice. In the sweetest way possible. (This wasn’t my group and was a long time ago so details are a little fuzzy. I really hope she’s doing well.)
In my dreams at least once a month.
Same. I also play that scene from married in vegas in my head where she ball punches that guy and when he asks why, she is like “you know why!”
I rage quit a position about 4 years ago over a pay issue. It was the best decision of my career. I started a new job two weeks later with a significant pay bump.

These are great, more power to you lucky bastards
I did it as a first year associate. It was after the third time the head partner for my group thought it was appropriate and funny to sexually harass me during a meeting with all the lawyers in the firm. I did the whole “f*ck you, I’m out of here” thing and walked out in the middle of the meeting. I was beyond fed up, HR and management did nothing but sweep everything under the rug after I reported him the second time it had happened to me. A number of female staff had complained to HR about him too. I quickly landed at another firm that heard what happened and also knew the reputation of that particular lawyer.

Good for you! I feel bad for those who can’t leave
I saw it twice. One guy just left. No one ever heard from him again. Left personal property in his office. Went on a trip. Become a law professor. The other, the woman chewed out a male partner for criticizing her. She went in house. Her firm hired her former law firm, the male partner was the lead lawyer. She had to move again.
Obvious advice: Grow up. Don’t do it.
I came here looking for partners complaining about rage quitters and was sorely Disappointed 😢
Still checking back for some juicy stories.
I have written my letter of resignation twice (obviously to rage quit). It’s saved in my drafts….for when i find another position.
