I interviewed with Firm A months ago and accepted a position to start this upcoming fall. Group leader called me to offer the position back in November 2020. Besides interviewing with partners at the firms, and diligent follow ups notifying them of my interest to get started, no communication has transpired since. It turns out that I accepted a better offer w/ Firm B for personal reasons and won’t be going to Firm A. What is the best way to notify Firm A? Call/email group leader? Call/email HR?

Who’s running diligence for this TikTok deal?
EY, I got my Roth IRA contributions set to max (30%). Does Fidelity automatically lower the % and stop contributions afterwards once I reach my 2022 limit?
Also at Deloitte, I had a couple thousand contributed in the beginning of the year. Does EY's 401k keep track of that as well towards the limit?

Stay at the Moana Surfrider instead! Best hotel in Waikiki
Sheraton Waikiki is cheaper than surfrider and has a nice infinity pool. Agree surfrider is better overall but those factors would move me to sheraton
There might be better hotels, but I enjoyed the Sheraton Waikiki. Was there just 1 night - lounge is awesome and they definitely gave us the best room available. I'm platinum and paid with points. To compare: the Westin in Maui did not treat us so well (no upgrade, no perks) and seemed to be put off because I used points there.
Moana Surfrider if you stay in room 2109. It's the penthouse suite on the northwest corner of the new tower. THE best suite to get upgraded to with amazing views.
Lived there for the last few years. Stay at Hilton Hawaiian Village. Eat dinner Friday at Tropics at the Hilton on the patio for front row seats to the Hiltons firework show (every Friday at approx 7). Then walk towards diamond head to the next hotel bar called the Barefoot Bar for the best Mai Tais on the beach and catch some chill live music. You're welcome.
Planning a similar stay just to relax with my wife in Oct. think Surfrider > Sheraton but sounds like it may be tough getting a suite upgrade at the Surfrider (spg plat)?
A bit more color - Planning on running the Honolulu marathon and then parlaying it into a vacation the following week. Not using points, but have platinum status on SPG...so could be good to collect points. Willing to go boutique too, so thanks for the rec! Going with Wifey.
Next door at the Hulakalani and down the street at Royal Hawaiian, recommend both
Sheraton is good but Royal Hawaiian is best...also SPG
With status it's awesome. They give you a wristband. Whenever you walk into the hotel there is a special platinum attendant who has the job of welcome you and handing water. There is no wait for breakfast (let the peons wait). The room upgrade is sweet. When we went, the attendant gave us a huge suite which called the sun rise (or maybe sun set) suite, which had an awesome view. They said the didn't have many platinum guests so we got the best room they could give us! There are a lot of other things such as them finding and having a car ready for you (they handle the rental and bring it to the hotel) etc
Royal Hawaiian was meh to me. Got a nice suite upgrade but not much else. Pool ran out of towels regularly, was small, etc
Yes. Great location and good hotel. Do try the Mai tai at Rumfire. Try to get a seat by the ocean and watch the sunset.
Stay away from Rumfire at night tho. Went there with two female friends and (to quote) it was predator central. About a 5-1 guy/girl ratio
Ask a waitress how to walk to Arnold's (in an alley behind Trump Tower) for awesome vibe and great drinks.
Fishbowl is awesome!! Thanks all!!
