Anyone ever work or seen roles open for the United Nations? Always thought it would be cool to work there. Have they ever had roles that revolve around Strategy and Analytics?

I heard for UN jobs, you need to have a referral, also the pay is not that good. Still I love the idea of working there one day, I applied 2 years ago for a statistician role, they rejected me few months ago for that role haha

I’ve worked for several UN agencies and I currently work on their hiring panels for high-level diplomats.

There are always roles posted on their website. Difficult to get in, similar to State Department opportunities. Pay can be low when starting out, benefits are great, competition is extremely high.

Very hard to get in; pretty much networking only. And they mostly work on term contracts, so there’s no long-term security. (Not saying I wouldn’t do it though. It can be a great place to work if you’re okay with slow, incremental progress.)

I did an internship there. Was fun, but very slow. Not a very high paying stint, and most people around me were using this as a second career after being burnt out in banking or consulting

Today was my last day with my “current company”, the ineffectiveness and management were too much. I am looking for a new position in Talent Acquisition or HR. If anyone has something for a recruiter with 5+years of exp (previous hospitality experience), please let me know. I would be happy to share my resume.

Views on a “Capabilities and Insights Analyst - Private Equity” position at McKinsey or “Knowledge Analyst - Private Equity” position at BCG? My understanding is they are the same as Strategy& Deals Strategy/EYP Transactions Strategy junior roles. Would I be more of a back end slide printer at MBB versus Big 4? Is the MBB title worth it if so?
