Contd: Benadryl didn’t really help. I also went to therapist a few times, can’t say we made any progress. I suffered a lot.
I don’t even know what to do this time. I still have many weeks ahead of me and just need advice from someone who maybe experienced something similar… thank you
I have heightened anxiety during pregnancy and post partum and have found that having a therapist who can talk me off a ledge is very helpful. My second pregnancy and post partum period was MUCH BETTER with a therapist who specializes in supporting pregnant women and moms. Additionally I took unison semi regularly thru pregnancy to help with falling asleep, tried to watch less tv and read less rando things on social media, which honestly removed a huge source of anxiety. Tried my best to pass on the baton to my husband in terms of majority of chores and mental burdens. It all depends on the underlying cause of anxiety, and that’s what a therapist helps you work through and build a plan to address
Thanks for sharing! I am leaning towards trying therapy again. I don’t know how it usually goes, but the last time I tried it, we didn’t even started to address my panic attacks/anxiety during the first 3 sessions. And I really needed that help ASAP.
On Unisom, I think I also tried it last time, but it made my nose super dry. This is actually one of the major anxiety factors for me - I get congested easily while pregnant and my nose dries out, which drives me nuts :(
