Hi All!
I am currently a Senior Software Engineer(Backend) with 4 YOE. My current CTC is 21LPA (All Fixed) with additional Yearly bonus. I got a call from Google (Pune/Bangalore/ Remote) for Software Engineer - Backend. I have the following doubts but any insights are welcome -
1. Does the lower designation offered make any difference?
2. Kinda ambiguous, but what kind of hike or ballpark pay can I expect?
3. Any similar interviews experiences or focus areas I should prepare for?
Any single folks on here?
This is proof that our school system is failing.

Does anyone know if the same 401k rules apply at EY as Accenture so they will cap the contributions coming for your check say if you hit the yearly limits in August? So if you hit the 22,500 in 23 there is no way to go over for tax issues. Thinking to frontload next year contributions if market is down. EY
This is why we need Universal Healthcare
I was laid off during Deloitte‘s mass layoff in July of last year. I have worked as an independent contractor since and projects haven’t been consistent at the client I’m working for. I’m looking to get back into a big firm and was seeing if anyone would be able to refer me or help get my foot in the door. I was a business analyst for 1.5 years at Deloitte and have several years of additional experience which I’d be more than happy to share.

Financial services. I agree better to just say you smoked and would be concerned about passing. They can just make up an excuse as to why you aren't going to be staffed. Worse to take it and fail.
I've heard of a few second hand stories along the lines of it's no big deal. Gotta be better to just tell the Mgr or whoever you don't think you should take it (and prob being rolled off) instead of letting them find out through the official process.
What kind of work where the client requires a drug test? Never encountered such a thing
A friend of mine who was a manager had an analyst fail a client drug test, reported it to HR. HR told him that Accenture didn't have a drug policy and basicly made the manager feel like he was being hounded because he reported it...That was a couple of years ago, so don't know if policy has changed.
Never heard of it in tech unless they specifically have a federal component
^^ or if it's health care tech.
Utilities too
I know a guy who failed one for a large client in FS. Partner was pissed and fired him.
Plenty of people travel to Colorado, Washington, etc. you may not be able to work for that client but there are plenty that don't require drug tests.
What about tech industry? Especially in places like west coast, CO, etc. I've heard the stories about FS and Fed...
Life sciences too
Any client can request a drug test. More likely to get in trouble if it is a manufacturing client. Resources clients can be sticklers and so can Health clients.
