EY Audit senior with CA and CPA - 5YOE, $65k offer to xfer to the US Assurance practice. Also interviewing with other companies: industry and boutique. What is the salary range and role I can aim for
What’s the typical job scope for a junior and how do you bring up asking for a promotion politely? I feel like I’ve been working above my role for quite awhile now and with little oversight from CDs, sometimes taking over for them when they’re out. I’m the only junior on the team and there are no mids/seniors.
Have an interview coming up at Coinbase for their Talent Strategy, Senior Associate opening. Anyone have any insight into what to expect? Literally my dream exit so would love to not blow it 🙃
After 3 months of interviewing, I just accepted a Corp strategy role at a F500. Can’t believe I’m on the other side, already starting to get nostalgic.
Just got a ping from Facebook for a role as a Decision Scientist- from the description seems like it could be BI/analytics/D.S. Role with an emphasis on “understand how users feel”??? It’s very vague. Anybody out there have experience with Decision Scientist? How technical? How independent? Etc?
BigLaw litigator in a niche practice, interviewing for an in-house position in a tech/industrial startup. I’ve interviewed with the legal team, who understood my narrow background due to the specialized nature of BigLaw and my current practice. But my further interviews are with business and technical executives, who I fear will reject me because I don’t have any prior in-house experience or relevant industry experience. What kind of questions should I prepare for? How do I impress?
Very pleased that I held on and my unrealized loss position in crypto overall is almost completely reversed. I realize this is not a story of huge gains (got in too late) but still good news!
Recently received an offer from a mid-size public firm and unsure if I should consider the opportunity. I’m currently in S1 SALT in NJ. The details are below: - Pay: $80k (12% upward bump than what I’m getting right now) - Title: Semi senior, but up for promotion in July if all goes well - Role: General tax, but mainly federal tax. One of the main reasons I’m considering -Location: Technically NYC, but assuming I do well while we are still remote I can work out of NJ 3 days after covid ends
Y'ALL I'M GETTING OUTTTTT 2 YOE in life science strategy consulting, about to exit to biotech for $185k TC and somehow this was only the third application I submitted!! Sorry to brag but I'm on the moon right now, and this bowl was hella encouraging so I wanted to share a little positivity :)
Hey everyone, I am a prospective Vandy MSF student. I’m looking for a pre-MSF internship. Can I just apply to summer analyst roles? Not sure how this would work given that I’m working full time right now. Previous experience: - 1 year FT Analyst at Deloitte - tech strategy, ODD, TDD, Valuations - Valuations at boutique (internship) - Internships at Deloitte - tech strategy Goal: Land a analyst role at MM IB or T2 consulting shop in their transactions/PE practice
how hard would a transition to cloud work be? I currently work primarily in more of a business analyst role (python, SQL, and tableau/power BI) and want to work on more hard skills, but am afraid I won’t be technical enough
just bc I saw some uneducated BCG consultant go off on affirmative action today ...affirmative action/diversity hiring doesnt tip the scale in favor of minorities, it balances the scale
If anyone looking for any TRICENTIS TOSCA/ETL/SELENIUM automation testing related role then I can refer in my company. There are few positions open. Feel free to DM!
Got offered a SAP analyst role at Deloitte. Currently I am working at Spirit In the accounting department. I work less than 40 hours in week and make 57K. Work life balance is ELITE at spirit. The reason I applied to Deloitte was because SAP intrigues me since I’ve used at my current company and technology as a whole intrigues me and where we are headed with it in the future. How many hours will I be working over at Deloitte? Should I leave my current company for Deloitte if they offer 70k?
What is the difference between an Associate Consultant role (in MBB) vs. a Consulting/Business Analyst role (in McK/Big 4/ACN)? Would the former be a step up from the latter, or they are lateral?
Have a sales strategy offer from a reputable software company. It pays 15k more than what I make now and remote with monthly travel. Been at Microsoft in client success for less than a year with the chance to transfer to BizOps (70% likely) in the next 6 months or PM (50%, already talked to the manager, and I have a tech background) but no guarantee. I want to do strategy/product and don’t like my current role. Should I stay or go? Current TC is 150k, 2.5 YOE
How has your living situation changed because of COVID? I live in DC, but left to stay with my parents in MA. I don’t see any reason to go back - everything is shut down in DC and I’m working remotely. Interested to see whether others have moved because of COVID.
Im in audit but looking for a Financial Planning and Analysis role when I leave the firm rather than Accounting role. Any suggestions while I am in public accounting on how to get the right experience relevant for an FP&A role? Perhaps do a rotation but not sure to which SL.
If you get fired from Deloitte (or similar), what would they say in a background check? Would they say “would not rehire” or something like that? Anyone have any issues with this?
Could anyone provide the relative comp range for a Manager - Supply Chain & Ops position at Accenture ?
Hey all! How is your firm handling travel? Is it voluntary or they start shifting towards a “no choice” to decide model? Is there any incentive from the firms to start traveling? Financial, PTO?
Really grateful that out of college with a Liberal Arts degree I got a tech analyst role while only working 36 hour work weeks and a good salary. The jobs not interesting and i have tons of down time but I'm grateful everyday
Thoughts on Accenture? How do they compare to EY and Deloitte? Have offers from all 3 but not sure which one to choose. Would ideally like to get my MBA in a few years and get into MBB. Is there a better/more prestigious choice between the 3? TIA
Deloitte layoffs still happening. What the heck?
How many weeks severance do u get if you're fired vs laid off? I've heard 1 week per year if you're laid off and no severance if you're fired... Am I right?
Came back from mat leave, been aggressively networking to get a client role but no takers for a someone who can’t travel 100%. I’m willing to compromise n travel 50% but nothing! So much for inclusion
As a PMO, do you usually create the test plan for your project or is it done by the requirements/functional lead?
What’s comp like at Apollo at the principal level? What’s the jump from senior associate to principal?
Is anyone that is at MBB currently willing to do a mock case interview with me? It would be greatly appreciated. (Feel free to DM)
My skin isn't the best and with WFH - I have been doing the basics : moisturiser and sunscreen everyday which has really helped. Next year, I'm likely to be back full time in the office and on client site - and I want to do the bare minimum makeup wise. Can someone provide me your "bare minimum" routines and also - makeup/skincare brands! :)
