Make sure you interview the hell out of the team you might be joining at J&J and ask your potential boss what their own 2-year career plan is. Because People at J&J move around a lot and you don’t want to inherit someone you don’t know.

It’s true J&J org-wide in all business functions. I can’t speak to the science-side of the house.

After 11 years, it’s time to transition from account management. I am over being everyone’s punching bag. What client side roles for an AD would be transferable? This just isn’t a sustainable career choice or mental health choice for a mom imo.

Econ consulting -> T15 MBA -> MBB -> PE (mid-market healthcare)...is this possible?

Why is this career so terrible for your mental health? How can I improve?

I’m a LCSW, have been working in mental health for 10 years, and have a job that enables HRSA to pay off my student loans. I really want to go back to medical school to be a psychiatrist. I’d like to pay my student loans off before taking on more debt but worry I will be way too old to go back since I already feel way too old at 38 to do it. Has anyone over the age of 35 gone back to med school? What were your challenges? Was it worth it?

Help & suggestions please. I don’t have parents and recently had a kid. I am having trouble in recovery and my daughter is a preemie. I am going back to work in December but can’t send kid to daycare due to health. My aunt who raised me wants to visit and help me out , see places too. With the travel ban going away , can she get a visitor visa so that I have someone reliable in the house along with the new nanny. Are visitor visas possible to get now ? MIL is another option but she is aged.

Any valid reasons to not get vaccinated? Would like to hear about some of the side effects you got from getting vaccinated.

So, my daughter is graduating 8th grade this year. One of their classmates died 2 years ago due to a gunshot. They ruled it a suicide, however his mother thinks otherwise. Anyway, they want to wear pins and have a seat for him at graduation with his picture on it. School policy claims we they can’t do this as it is “glamorizing suicide” and they think that by honoring him, they are promoting other kids to do this too. Anyone else have this occur a d what are your thoughts?

Was looking at my pictures from 2015 and I used to be so pretty and fit and then I let my health and weight go downhill from there. 😔 Now I lack confidence and don’t want to meet anyone new because of the fear that I’ll be judged for being fat. 😭

I am struggling with motivation. My job is good - it’s interesting and engaging. My health is good - I’m exercising regularly and I feel pretty healthy. Kids good, spouse ok - but I just came off PTO and I have zero interest in hitting it hard right now. I think it’s burn out, but I’m doing everything I’m supposed to be doing to fix that. I just don’t want to logon to a full day/week of video conference calls. It fills me with dread, actually. Any advice?

Which strong health care consulting companies work in northern New England?

It seems as if on public forums and social media, there’s been a shift from the 2020 ‘thankful for all our healthcare workers!’ to a 2022 ‘hmm suspicion of what your doctor(s) has suggested to you, they may be a quack, I need to know all of their credentials, etc’. Not disagreeing or agreeing on the approach/narrative, just a general observation. Has anyone else seen this? I understand we’re at different stages of the pandemic, but I still find interesting.

Any self employed people (I’m a sole trader since May 2021) in the US with suggestions for disability insurance policies? I would want one that pays to 65 with inflation adjustments in case I became disabled next month. I just got denied a policy by Northwestern Mutual because of my ADHD. I sit in front of a laptop all day doing tax consulting, and work from home.
