Yep I’ve used this and for the job. Find out who the hiring manager is by contacting the recruiter (there’s usually a name on there of who to contact), set up a coffee with the hiring manager and say you want to learn more about the role (but go prepared as to why you’re interested etc coz they might ask). Then just have a chit chat with them and at the end say you’re going to apply. It goes a long way and shows you are super proactive. Treat it like an informal interview. Worked for me:)

Do I need to be loyal to one recruiter? I’ve worked with the same recruiter for the last year.. not necessarily by choice, but because she’s typically the first one to send me opportunities. She reached out today with a position that another recruiter already reached out about and submitted my materials for. Can I just tell Recruiter A I’ve already applied?
