Best exit op companies/roles in LA/OC area? Currently in cloud/big data/iot at senior level. Just curious about what’s out there
Regarding layoffs, would anyone accept a pay cut to keep their current position? I wonder if that’s a viable solution when you have to cut costs, but also want to keep reasonably talented people.
Okay so I’m somewhat new to the Advertising industry and was curious if hiring comes in waves? Seem like a lot of people are posting about how quiet hiring is rn.
Started a job at a tech company. People, culture, hours, benefits/pay is great. However, the role is not what I was expecting. It’s junior & administrative/sales oriented. I thought it would be more analytics & strategy based. Just got another offer for a corporate strategy role. Culture isn’t great, pay/benefits aren’t as good but decent, but I’d learn so much more in the role & it’s a manager title . What do I do? I’m early in my career. I’m happy rn but the role isn’t good career wise
I've been laid off from D. I'm seeking a similar role, "Resource Manager" or "Engagement Staffing Manager". To summarize, the role entails working with business managers to help fill open roles, providing available staff, and forecasts, etc.; and working with practitioners as they near or land on the bench. Do other consulting firms, such as EY, PWC, Accenture, etc. have such positions? If so, what are titles do they have? I'm seeking alternative search terms.
Found out recently that I am not receiving an offer following final round interview at Big4. Recruiter I’ve been in contact with has been a great help and told me afterwards that they’d be more than happy to pass my resume over to other team leads looking to staff. Is this a common occurrence or was it a kind, common courtesy send-off to our time working through the hiring process together?
I expecting to receive an offer letter this afternoon and to walkthrough it with the hiring managers. I will also have a phone call with HR later this week for any additional questions. I gave my expected salary range (pretty wide and aggressive) during the interview process but haven’t talked specifics. I assume negotiations happen with HR instead of the hiring manager? Anyone have any insight? Thank you so much. First time interviewing outside of college
New to my role, and a junior was assigned a task by the project manager and he has literally contributed nothing despite continued follow ups by me. Best way to handle it?
Anyone at Google, to possibly speaking with me. I found a position I believe I am a good match for and was looking for feedback.
Hi all! Just introducing myself. I’ve become a Bowl Leader here in the new biz bowl. Looking forward to it! This bowl helped me tremendously when I switched from prod co sales to full service agency biz dev. Great group! I’m now biz dev director for a production/post/animation facility. Please comment with a bit about you and your role. Thanks!
Would anyone refer to me in your organization for a WD Project manager role ? I am WD Pm certified.
My job start date got pushed back until the winter, so I’m trying to find a restaurant or retail job to pass the time until then. Does anyone have experience with tailoring a consulting/professional resume for a service position? I have minimal service experience but a few years of desk jobs and internships and I’m not exactly sure how to leverage it
The hard part about finding great AEs / VP of Sales is that the smart & resourceful ones are not looking for work, because they’re successful at their current role. That being said - if anyone is looking for an exciting new opportunity with no glass ceiling / cap on earnings, you should email us at email@example.com
I’m thinking about moving to another state. Is it best to transfer within my own company and move or get a new job in future city? Either way I want to exit consulting within the next 2 years.
How doable is it to transfer from an EY advisory role to EY-Parthenon, more like does anyone know someone who’s successfully done this?
So many burned out colleagues I've met over the years are planning an industry exit strategy, either soon or down the line. Are you thinking of leaving the biz, for what, and why?
Changing my client domain/industry after 2 years. Is this going to set my career back by a few years? I feel I'm starting from scratch and mayyyybe not getting the best role. Stupid move?
I didn’t think this day would come so soon but I’m ready to look at jobs in industry. After updating your resume, any tips on next steps? How did you go about searching? Recruiter, LinkedIn, referral?
My EY friend got rejected on both the PwC Referral jobs; senior and experienced associate. Are two page resumes for 5-6 years of work exp a complete No No on PwC Referral
Any insight on going from Big 4 audit (S1) to boutique PE firm in an analyst role? The role supports operations of the portfolio companies (i.e. system implementations, accounting set up, etc.). Sounds like interesting work but the exit opportunities are a little unclear and not sure if it would be detrimental to veer away from an accounting-specific role.
Hello 🐠, I’m building a site where you can find travel recommendations from your friends and family! It seems like I’m not the only one who asks around for word of mouth suggestions (looking at the posts on this bowl 🙂). With all of the travelling that we do (pre/post covid) I know you all have great recommendations from personal, flex, and work travel. It’ll be launching soon so please sign up if sounds like something you’d use - I’d also love to get your thoughts! www.travoshare.com
When ppl say anytime you spend abroad while on H1B can be recaptured - does that include the time you resign from your job and leave the country? Or do you have to stay employed
