I have 5 YOE in big law as an environmental attorney. I’m hoping to make a move in-house soon, but I don’t see in-house environmental positions come up very often. Any tips on what I should be looking for/where to look? I check Indeed constantly but so far I’ve only seen a handful of relevant positions.

After the first round, I was quickly moved on to the written exercise but its now been a month since I submitted it and I haven’t received any update on my application despite following up with HR once. I'm an in-house counsel at a national company. Our GC is leaving. I’m the only other in-house attorney, and I’ve only been here for 4 months. I like the job. Previously, I was a 6th-year associate.
The CEO asked me to stay and implied a larger role, but doesn't have a clear picture of what that looks like. Asked for my help in redefining. Even unsure as to timing or whether we'll hire another GC. Questions for Fishbowl: (1) benefits or pitfalls? (2) questions or requests you'd have for CEO?

If I get a lateral offer in the next few weeks, let’s say in October, would it be ridiculous to ask to push the start date to after the new year?

I report to a VP who also handles HR. I am working on building FCPA policies and a compliance program. Today she told me she needs to check with an outside attorney to see if CA law will cause issues for us. . . I just need to vent. How do stock grants and refreshers work at FAANG and other big companies?

If an offer includes $160k in equity over 4 years, you would get $40k per year, right? Do companies give a refresher each year, so that the second year, you might get $40k from your first grant and another $40k from your second grant? Are people making 4x the equity their 4th year in house if they get a refresher every year?
